CPSO said they received multiple 911 calls from a home on Lynn Havens Dr. Deputies said that when they got there, they found a child who has intellectual disabilities and is nonverbal.
Deputies also said the child was found to be naked, dirty, and emaciated.
Detectives with CPSO’s Special Victims Unit was called to the scene. The guardians of the child, Laurie Stewert and Tony Williams, arrived at the house shortly before detectives got there.
Stewert, 32, was arrested on one count of child desertion and one count of resisting an officer.
Williams, 27, was also arrested on one count of child desertion and one count of resisting an officer.
Detectives said they contacted DCFS, and the child was taken into the state’s custody.
