According to a news release from the Polk County Sheriff's Office, the investigation began when a 9-year-old girl in Brown's care contacted her mother to report that the 5-year-old was being abused, later sending a text message that read, "I'm scared, he's whooping him so hard, I'm scared."
During interviews with investigators, the children described a pattern of escalating violence. Deputies said Andre Brown Jr. became angry with the 5-year-old boy "for being gay" and responded by "slamming him on the ground multiple times." He then allegedly turned his anger on the other two children in the home, striking all three with a belt over what authorities described as a prior incident.

When deputies arrived, they allegedly found visible injuries on all three children. The 5-year-old victim suffered the most severe harm, with marks and bruising covering his legs, arms, back, and stomach, along with a fractured right wrist and a contusion on his forehead, police said, adding that the other children also had bruising on their arms and legs.
According to the sheriff's office, the youngest victim appeared terrified during his interview and was reluctant to speak further, telling investigators he was "afraid of Brown."

Authorities said Brown admitted to targeting the child because of his sexual orientation.
"Brown told deputies that he decided to whoop the victim because the victim was gay," the release states. "He advised he would 'beat the gay out of him if possible, but since it wasn't possible he would beat him more.'"

Investigators determined the attack met the criteria for a hate crime, elevating the severity of the charge.

My sister and I played with Tonka Trucks, GI Joe's, Matchbox cars and we dug in the yard for worms to play with too when we were little. But that was just a birth order thing. Mom got two boys first, then two girls. It was cheaper than buying brand new Barbies and baby dolls. In her mind GI Joe was a damn doll too! :shame:

A FIVE year old is not gay, he's a baby, not a sexualized adult. I know straight men who seem very feminine and I know gay men who are very butch, so why don't we wait to label a 5 year old?
If the boy had any feminine behaviors it was probably from being the product of a single mother who only had the boy engage in what this man considered fenale behavior.

I had a friend with a son whose only activity was going shopping with his mother or grandmoter.

When the mother started dating a Jamaican man it was evident he did not like the child and said the boy acted like a girl.

She went on to marry this man and had her own child with him.

His biological donor did not seem to be around.

My bestie's grandson's mother and father are clean freaks, I think mostly because they own a restaurant and have to be. But when he was a toddler, give him a dustbuster or a broom and he was the happiest kid on the planet. He's 11 now and has kinda outgrown that, he plays baseball and gets so nasty, which is the right way to play ball, if you ask me.

I think it is great from an early age they instilled cleanliness in the boy.

and that they live in a house so clean it up, they eat so teach them to cook, they wear clothes teach them how to take care of them.... at least even wayyyyyyyyy back when i was young that is the way my dad taught us both males and females ,,, there is no such thing as "women's work" or "men's work" .. so far the only thing a man can't do but is strickly a woman's job is to carry and birth a child...
