MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WHBQ FOX13 myfoxmemphis.com) – -- Authorities say an 8-month-old Memphis girl died from a blow to the head and her parents are charged with aggravated child abuse.

Police say Trenity Lawrence was found unresponsive when officers were called to her family's residence Friday. She was taken to Methodist South Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The girl's parents, 28-year-old Trevelyn Lawrence and 21-year-old Candace Faulkner, deny harming the child but told police they had been in a fight with each other shortly before noticing she was unconscious.

Police say Lawrence had been stabbed with screwdriver and Faulkner had been hit a lamp during the fight.

Lawrence pleaded guilty in 2007 to beating Faulkner, and court records show he was accused of beating her again later that year and violating an order of protection she had taken out against him.

For every one who did the math, yes that would have been when she was pregnant and carrying the baby and probly both times.

“The last time I was up here they were fighting and he kicked the door in," says neighbor Marcus Mack. “They were always arguing.”

According to police, Lawrence grabbed a lamp and hit his girlfriend over the head. During the fight, police say Faulkner stabbed her boyfriend with a screwdriver. At some point, police say their eight month old daughter Trenity was hit in the head and died.

In February 2007, Lawrence was charged with domestic assault. According to court documents, he pushed and slapped Candace Faulkner. In August 2007, police charged Lawrence with aggravated assault. Court documents say he punched Faulkner in the mouth and choked her. At that time she told police she feared for her life. Faulkner then filed an order of protection, an order police say Lawrence violated in October 2007.

There was also a two year old child home when this fight happened. Neighbors told us Candace Faulkner is pregnant right now. Based on court documents, she was pregnant with Trenity at the time of the former abuse.

So Candace is pregnant again, after years of abuse by the poor excuse for a human beeing she gets herself knocked up AGAIN, Give me a fucking break. Take ALL the kids away and throw both there fuck up ass's in jail.

First of all, "liyah" (above) and I are the daughters of these two. Second, I was the two year-old who was present when my sister died.

No, my mother did not die, she's still alive, but my father has passed away.

Claims that my parents killed my sister while they were fighting are false. She was in a different room at the time, it wouldn't have been possible for them to have hit her accidentally.

My parents have 3 children now, namely myself, my sister, and our brother. They have done so much for us, my mother is still hurting from what happened to Trenity. It's very upsetting to see the way you all talk about them. It would be best to hold your peace when you aren't in possession of the facts. I'm 17 years old now - this happened years ago and you're still talking about it. Get your lives together and worry about yourselves instead.
