No Justice: If Jennifer Hannum Is Getting Her Ass Beat By Gregory Rottjer Keep Walking

Connecticut police say a man threw another man off a bridge because he intervened in an argument between the suspect and his girlfriend.

Derby police charged Gregory Rottjer, 25, with attempted murder in connection with the Thanksgiving morning encounter that left unidentified Monroe man, 30, seriously injured. Rottjer faces arraignment Tuesday.

Rottjer's friend, Matthew Dorso, 27, who was at the scene, was charged with assault while Rottjer's girlfriend, Jennifer Hannum, 22, was charged with lying to police about the incident.

Dorso and Hannum are expected to appear in court December 22.

Police say Rottjer and Hannum had been arguing as they walked across the bridge.

That's when the victim and his brother asked Hannum if she was OK, which prompted Rottjer and Dorso to start a fight that ended with the victim being thrown into the water.

According to NBC Connecticut, the victim fell 45 feet and is still recovering from the fall.

Gregory Rottjer, 26, is now serving a 10-year prison sentence to be suspended once he spends a year behind bars, according to court records, after pleading no contest to attempted murder in the case.

Jennifer Hannum, the woman the victim attempted to help, pleaded guilty to interfering with police and was given a suspended one-year jail sentence last month, according to court records.
