Mug Alert: Parents Ignored Baby’s Injuries For Hours Until She Stops Breathing

According to court documents, the baby’s father, Chad Gibbs, 23, fell down the stairs while holding the infant, causing the baby’s head to strike a door frame.

Gibbs also reportedly dropped the baby to the ground from a height of three to four feet.

Gibbs allegedly did not seek medical attention for the baby until she lost a pulse hours later. Only then were medical personnel called.

Court documents show the baby’s mother, Sarah Lembke, 22, was not observant enough to realize something was wrong with the baby.

Lembke admitted the baby was crying regularly for five hours and had a bruise on her face, but failed to have cautioned that the father, Chad Gibbs, may have caused the injury.

Court documents show that Gibbs has a history of injuring Lembke’s children.

Gibbs admitted to authorities of accidentally elbowing the baby six days before this incident and becoming upset with the baby’s crying that he would squeeze her to his chest.

Chad Gibbs and Sarah Lembke are both charged with child endangerment - serious injury.

2. Squeeze them and break ribs when they cry.

5. Allow newborns to roll off the couch.
6. Look the other way when your abusive boy toy beats the baby.
