Meghan Markle says she hated having to share family photos with the same British media outlets whose readers called her “children the N-word.”

When she was an active member of the royal family, the Duchess of Sussex was expected to give pictures of her now-3-year-old son, Archie, to the Royal Rota, the press pool that covers Queen Elizabeth II and her line of succession.

“There’s literally a structure,” Markle, 41, explained in a wide-ranging The Cut cover story, published Monday.

“Why would I give the very people that are calling my children the N-word a photo of my child before I can share it with the people that love my child?” the “Suits” alum, who is biracial, asked.

.....

However, she insisted that being half black had made her brief time in the royal family all the more pivotal, recalling the high praise of a South African cast member of the live-action version of “The Lion King” at the London premiere in 2019, before she fled.

“He looked at me, and he’s just like light. He said, ‘I just need you to know: When you married into this family, we rejoiced in the streets the same we did when Mandela was freed from prison,'” she claimed.

Markle — who has taken digs at the royal family on her new Spotify podcast — hinted that there is likely far more to come.

“It’s interesting, I’ve never had to sign anything that restricts me from talking,” she said.

'Overcoming 60 years of apartheid is not the same as marrying a white prince': Nelson Mandela's grandson slams Meghan Markle for suggesting South Africans celebrated her wedding the same way they rejoiced his freedom

Nelson Mandela's grandson today slammed Meghan Markle for suggesting her marriage to Prince Harry sparked scenes of joy in South Africa reminiscent of the 1990 release of the legendary anti-apartheid campaigner after 27 years in jail, telling MailOnline: 'It can never be compared to the celebration of someone's wedding.’

Zwelivelile 'Mandla' Mandela has said he was 'surprised' at her remarks in The Cut magazine when she claimed that three years ago a cast member of the Lion King had made the comparison between her royal wedding and Madiba's historic walk to freedom.

South African Lion King composer says he 'does not remember' discussing Nelson Mandela with Meghan Markle at Lion King premiere - after his compatriot actor was baffled by bombshell interview's comparison

The South African composer who met the Duchess of Sussex at the Lion King premiere in London today insisted he can't remember speaking to her about Nelson Mandela after the movie's only South African actor told MailOnline he was 'baffled' by her suggestion his country had 'rejoiced' when she married Prince Harry.

Lebohang Morake, whose professional name is 'Lebo M', said he spoke to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for 'less than a minute' at the West End launch of the film for which he composed music in 2019.

Mystery over which ‘Lion King’ star compared Meghan Markle to Nelson Mandela

Meghan Markle’s wild claim that her royal wedding was compared to the release of late anti-apartheid hero Nelson Mandela is being challenged by the only people it appears she could have been referring to.

Markle, 41, told New York Magazine’s The Cut for its cover issue this week that the gushing praise was made by a South African cast member of Disney’s live-action version of “The Lion King” at the 2019 premiere.

“He said, ‘I just need you to know: When you married into this family, we rejoiced in the streets the same we did when Mandela was freed from prison,’” she claimed of the mystery admirer.

The comment was all the more powerful because it came during the “cruel chapter” of Markle’s life when she was too “scared to go out” while still in the UK, she claimed as part of her latest attacks on the royal family.

However, none of the South Africans known to have been involved in the production know anything about the widely derided comparison to their nation’s late, pioneering president’s freedom after 27 years in prison.

Just read that NY Post article while out on break. The sniveling, lying CU(n)T... It's funny when she lies and expects people will just accept her bullshit. SA stood up and said "Uh uh Ma'am, that shit didn't happen!" and I love it. Because I couldn't fathom it happening in all honesty. Most South Africans have much larger things to worry about than a U.S. starlet and the poor sap she married. And they're none too fond of the monarchy in general either. :banghead:

She’s proving what I’ve always been saying. She married Harry to ruin his life, and gain popularity somehow? It’s like….

Step 1: Be a mediocre actress.
Step 2: Marry an idiot prince.
Step 3; Lie about EVERYTHING so you look like the victim.
Step 4; Profit?????

Go away, Me-Again! She simultaneously has copious amounts of self-aggrandizement and self-loathing victimhood. And all that seems apparent in a single interview. She can take those glass slippers of hers and shove them up her... attic, which I am sure has great storage capacity.

If anyone, either in the media or commenting on the media, is using the N-word in relation to her and her family, they absolutely should not do so because that is disgusting. No justification at all for that.

But Meghan goes on to make these comments:

“He looked at me, and he’s just like light. He said, ‘I just need you to know: When you married into this family, we rejoiced in the streets the same we did when Mandela was freed from prison,'” she claimed.

Wowee! That is quite the brag she has for herself there. She compared herself marrying a British royal family member to NELSON Freaking MANDELA in any context at all! She has the gall to tell the public that they need to check their privilege, while she is completely oblivious to checking her own. For someone to compare themselves, in full seriousness, to iconic and successful civil rights activists; American, South African, Indian, or from wherever; they have to have a huge dollop of arrogance and very little self-awareness, especially when they (the self-aggrandizers) have not done nearly as much or had nearly the impact that the civil rights activists did.

Martin Luther King Jr. said, "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." What MLK Jr. did not say was, "Yep. I totally got this whole desegregation and anti-racism schtick. People will start comparing me to Jackie Robinson pretty soon. Hell, I bet I can even one-up him on a few things!"

The only thing she has in common with Nelson Mandela is that her last name starts with the letters M and A. What Markle has done in reality is marry Prince Harry. Yet she has christened herself as Princess Harriet Tubman, despite the fact that she is well-publicized for essentially deciding that being a literal real-life princess is not good enough. (I know that her situation is more complex than that, and that such a sentence is not meant as a "final world" or "ultimate judgement"... but the optics sure look awful, don't they?)

But hey, she is called Duchess on the magazine cover, because it is consistent with her branding, and still wants herself and her public image to benefit as much as possible from her royal connections, despite the catfighting foofaraw that seems to be a pillar of so much of her personal and family life.

The above gif, metaphorically, features Me-Again as a cat fighting another cat from either the royal family or her own family, both groups of whom she is largely estranged from. I cannot tell which cat is which. Then we have the world media, which in this case comes in the form of a dog, asking, "Hey, what's going on over here? How can I make this a good, publishable story?"

To conclude, I must ask the good people who read and/or post on Dreamin' Demon:

Who the hell gave Meghan Markle a microphone, and how guilty is their conscience for having done such a thing?

Maybe Harry was right about the First Amendment being "bonkers". Because he and Meghan sure pump themselves to the world as more important than they are, and abuse the living hell out of the First Amendment to do so. And the First Amendment totally lets them do that... and technically lets trolls use the N-word, too, as unfortunate as that is... which makes me think that the First Amendment is the most pushover of all the amendments, and I hope it tries to stand up for itself at some point.

In other words, the First Amendment is basically the closest thing the Bill of Rights has to a James Taylor song.

Wait! Great catch! This explains soooo much! Reminds me of the (supposed) Alphabet Murders! Maybe there really IS another conspiracy theory at work here.

(@Symmachus please understand my /s here, I’m sure you do but I worried I come across as an asshat).

Nelson Mandela’s grandkid accuses Harry and Meghan of ‘using’ his legacy

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle claim their latest Netflix show was “inspired by Nelson Mandela” — but Mandela’s granddaughter believes they have ulterior motives.

Nikola Mandela, 57, blasted the couple for “using” her grandfather’s legacy as a cash grab for their Netflix series “Live to Lead.”

Nikola accused the Sussexes of appearing to compare their struggles with the royal family to the former president of South Africa’s life and fight for freedom, saying it’s “upsetting and tedious.”

“That’s chalk and cheese, there is no comparison,” Nikola said in an interview with the Australian. “I know the Nelson Mandela Foundation has supported the initiative but people have stolen grandfather’s quotes for years and have used his legacy because they know his name sells – Harry and Meghan are no different from them.”
