Jaguar 0 Cow 1. Jaguar going going over 100 mph on a Vermont Country Road. Dead man dead cow.

Jason St Pierre had a need for speed in his Jaguar. Now him and an innocent cow are dead.
The Jaguar was going over 100 miles per hour when it struck a cow chewing her cud in the road. The passenger was lucky to survive. Speed did kill but was there other factors?

Family legend has my Uncle driving from NC to OR in something crazy like 26 hours after my cousin was born. Story is one cow died along the way, but that he hit it so low that it did little damage to my Uncle's '73 Corvette... I'll bet that was a fun 26 hours, minus the cow part!

I grew up not too far from the Vermont border. There, the danger wasn't cows crossing but deer. Where I live now, wild boar are the biggest threat.

As for there being other factors? Are the investigators sure it was a cud and not something more potent?

It was a type S Jaguar from the year 2000.
In my opinion one of the last years that Jags looked cool... but only from the front.
Otherwise they were pretty pedestrian
