A woman and her boyfriend in Nevada are now facing charges for allegedly using a 14-year-old as a surrogate, according to multiple reports.

Nathan Potier, 36, was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant for sexual assault of a child, and Erica Palmer, 36, was arrested for enabling sexual abuse of a child, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office said.

According to court documents, this began last December when a referral from child protective services indicated the teen was pregnant with twins, KFOR reported.

Palmer told police she wanted children with her current boyfriend. However, she could not because her tubes were tied.

The two are accused of abusing the teen and forcing the teen to get pregnant with Potier allegedly being the father.

Task force detectives found information that Potier and Palmer may have been hiding in the Reno-Sparks area, the release said.

Police then obtained a search warrant for Potier’s DNA to determine paternity at the teen’s next doctor’s visit. But before that could happen, Palmer and Potier left the state, authorities said.

They could not hire a surrogate who was not a minor!! Adopt a baby who needs a loving home?? Settle on getting a dog from the shelter? Seriously it’s obvious from the choice they made they should not be having any children!
