A man accused of attacking seven women at knife point in less than 24 hours, including stabbing a woman in the neck in downtown Indianapolis, has been charged with more than 20 felonies.

The man also told police that he is often harassed by time travelers, and was being chased by naked men before attacking his victims.

Victor Alvin Johnson, 37, has been charged in Marion County with attempted murder, rape, four counts of criminal confinement, aggravated battery, four counts of battery, four counts of intimidation, two counts of kidnapping, three counts of sexual battery and confinement.

Johnson was arrested in connection to a string of attacks reported from the evening of June 17 to the afternoon of June 18.

According to court documents, the investigation began around 5 p.m. on June 17 when two women were walking out of an apartment in the 900 block of Fayette Street and saw a man urinating outside.

The man yelled at the woman to come over and approached them.

Court documents said Johnson grabbed one of the women from behind, wrapped his arm around her neck and threw her to the ground. He then yelled at the other woman who said she was going to call the police. That caused the man to leave the area.

Around 6:20 p.m. that same day, another woman reported being attacked by a man in a parking lot near the intersection of New York and Alabama streets while dropping off her recycling.

She told police that the man approached her and asked her for a hug. When she refused and tried to quickly get back into her car, the man stopped her from closing her door and pointed a knife at her.

The woman kicked, screamed and offered the man money to go away. Court documents said she bumped her head and lost a shoe during the struggle before bystanders ran to the area and chased the man away.

The next day around 1:45 p.m., police were called to Veterans Memorial Plaza on a report of multiple women being attacked by a man with a knife who fit the description of the suspect in the June 17 incidents.

A 54-year-old woman, a 49-year-old woman and a 21-year-old woman all told police they had been attacked in the park.

Two women said they were sitting on a park bench when the suspect walked up to them, asked them for hugs and asked if they wanted to “hook up.” Court documents said when the women refused, the suspect showed them a knife and told them he had already stabbed three people. He then sat between the women on the bench.

Court documents said when the women got up and walked away, the suspect followed them and began to call them derogatory names. The third woman was napping on a blanket in the park as they walked by.

The suspect then attacked all three women. Court documents said one woman sustained a swollen lip and scratches, another had a laceration on her right ear and was unable to hear out of that ear, and the other had a potentially broken ankle.

Minutes after the attack in the park, police received a report of a woman being stabbed in the neck in the area of Illinois and Walnut streets.

The woman who was stabbed told police she was on the Peace Walk when it happened. She heard a man speak to her but she initially ignored him, court documents said.

The man then walked in front of her and got in her face. She took her headphones out

and the man said, “I just want to spend 15 minutes with you,” court documents said.

She held up her hands for him to stay back, and the suspect threw the woman to the ground while telling her he wanted to have sex with her.

The man stabbed her multiple times. The woman was able to escape and noticed that she was covered in blood.

Police said the woman was stabbed in the neck and the shoulder. She also had cuts to her left hand.

She was transported to Methodist Hospital in critical condition. Court documents said she sustained significant blood loss and had a potential injury to her right internal jugular vein.

Civilians who witnessed the attack stopped the man and held him until police arrived. He was arrested at 10th and Capitol and identified by police as Johnson.

Johnson told police that he got "beat up by some females" before his arrest, one of them having "been a man Who turned into a woman," court document said. He said that multiple times a day, people come out of time machines to bother him.

He told police that he was also being chased by naked men and didn't know why, court documents said.

Johnson added that he did not know who the president was.
