Drunken Day Care Owner Charged With Attacking Husband With Bat In Front Of Children

An intoxicated day care owner from Massachusetts allegedly attacked her husband with a baseball bat while she was in the care of three young children, according to police.

Diane Fenton, 58, is facing a number of charges including three counts of reckless endangerment of a child after she allegedly assaulted her husband at their Walpole home on Sept. 20, WCVB reported.

Fenton’s husband called police that afternoon and said his wife was chasing him with a baseball bat, according to a police report.

He had confronted her after he found her intoxicated while taking care of a 6-month-old, 3-year-old and 4-year-old, according to police.

The children were all inside the home uninjured when police arrived. Fenton had a license to run a day-care business out of the residence.

Fenton’s husband claimed that she abused alcohol and had been violent towards him in the past, allegedly slashing him with a knife a year ago, cops said.

Yeah,me too, I learn slow but I learn. Having Grandmonkey spend a week with me about 3 times a year just reinforces that I don't wanna be a babysitter of any kind.

Something about that title made me laugh before I even clicked on it, and I fully expected it to be coming out of Florida.

While I was disappointed it was indeed not Florida, minus the children being around, the mental image I had of this drunken woman waving a bat around, chasing her husband continued the giggles.

It's been a long day.
