CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago man has been charged after police said he fatally shot two teens in the South Shore neighborhood after they asked how tall he was.

Police said Laroy Battle, 19, opened fire on two teens in an alley in the 7900-block of South Luella Avenue around 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 20.
[...]

The victims commented, because, since Battle is quite tall, and they asked him how tall he was and you know, hoped to be that tall someday," Deenihan said. "And unfortunately, obviously we'll never see the full growth of these poor children."

As the three teens walked home, two of them were shot multiple times in the alley. Police said they recovered nine shell casings from the scene.

Oh I’m sorry I didn’t mean to meh you. I mean I was just expecting a hulking giant who was really insecure about being so tall. 6’3 isn’t that tall to me. Nonetheless thanks for the info :)
Its funny when i first saw the title, i was thinking he was sensitive about his height because he was short. I was shocked that he was 6'3"

I once dated a guy that claimed to be 5'10"
Im 5'1" and we were very close to the same height. When i said he wasnt 5'10" he whipped his wallet out to show me his drivers license.
Which is really lame because they dont measure you at the DMV they just put what you write on your application. So i whipped my license and said look im 110lbs. I was actually 135lbs.
