Ismael Flores, 23

"23-year-old Valley man is facing nearly two dozen theft charges over a string of shoplifting incidents in Tempe and south Phoenix."

"Over the course of several months, police used surveillance video and a Facebook account to link Ismael Flores to the alleged crimes."

" Investigators say most of the thefts took place between October 2022 and March 2023, which court documents detailed primarily happened at Victoria’s Secret or Target stores. In these instances, Flores would reportedly stuff handfuls of pants, bras, panties, and other merchandise into a trash bag and take off. It’s reported that he would walk away with $200 to about $2,300 worth during each shoplifting run."

" Wednesday, Tempe police found Flores near 16th Avenue and Camelback Road. During a search, they found suspected fentanyl pills and aluminum foil that police say appeared to have been used to smoke illegal drugs."
"After being transported to the Tempe jail, he refused to answer any questions. Court records say he has 43 prior shoplifting cases. He was booked on 19 counts of organized retail theft, two counts of shoplifting, and one count of drug possession."

@Crazy Cat Lady I think Flores would have been a good candidate for prison drug rehab well, well before 43 prior charges since he's probably driven by getting money for drugs.

And any parent who's son comes home with" The Edgar" haircut needs to make arrangements for him to go to a Hermitage.
It's a solitary life, but it's for the best.

I doubt it, if he did then he wouldn't need to steal. Buy new, then sell used for a profit. He could have stayed under the radar so we wouldn't have to laugh at his ass.
I think the kitty looks good! ;)

Maybe he has a lot of girlfriends. :D

He's might be filling an order.
Good boosters, the ones that will go to stores their clientele think are fancy,
are more direct, not as generalized.

He will go to a "plug"* or a regular customer, and they will place an "order" with him.
General specifics of things (i.e. underwear) sizes (kids, adults, large adults) the store they like, he does a bump of their drugs, and off he goes to get that stuff.
It's more customized, and surer to offload.

It wouldn't be exaggerating that he probably does this at least every other day for different "customers".

I learned all this from asking questions, and a neighbor sent me a photo of what a booster obtained for her 2 years ago, I found the photos and here's what were looking at:

If I remember at all correctly, I believe $95 was paid for all of this?
And the "blues" he smokes? The tablets?
(thanks to people like him, Circle K doesn't leave their straws out anymore)
Those blues run about $5- $30 apiece (I just checked, and the prices went down to $5 around 6 months ago. On this side of town. Aa neighbors daughter has been in rehab and she smoked 7 - 20 a day? I'm not sure. So $35-$600. That can't be right?.... that's a LOT of money....

So, that's another shoplifting trip needed that day.

*"plug" a stationary drug distributer to street sellers. The ones who have been identified to me have all been female.
The boosters pointed out were male AND female, white or Hispanic. Never black, native or Asian.
That's anecdotal though, what I've seen by chance.
I did meet one. We crossed on the stairs. Blonde, nice, had a speech disorder that made him incomprehensible. He got hit by a car, maybe absconding?

So, the stuff he steals goes as fast as his little bike can carry him to that money or those drugs. He's basically a heroin addict, and they usually aren't hyper-sexual, they're usually nodded out.
He couldn't care less about what he's stealing.
There's only so many Victoria's Secrets around, he can't go to one every single day.

Big item for boosting? Laundry detergent.

I don't mean to sound prim, but I really disapprove of shoplifting or purchasing stolen items. It really annoys, upsets, offends, me. It's not nice and it's not victimless at all.

And that's most of what I know on this.
