Chad and Jahkwez

A man pleaded guilty to the fatal shooting of his girlfriend in May 2020.

Jahkwez Desean Wilson pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and child abuse on Thursday, Oct. 14.

According to authorities, Wilson and Chad Edmondson are responsible for the death Wilson’s girlfriend, Christina Leeann Nunley.

Tucson police say Nunley had been staying at the hotel with Wilson and his children when she allegedly asked another guest at the hotel to use their room to meet someone. Once she was inside that room, Nunley reportedly asked for privacy during the meeting and the room was partitioned with a blanket.

During the meeting, a single gunshot was fired and Nunley was found unresponsive in the room the same day. After first responders arrived, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Wilson had been facing charges or aggravated robbery and first-degree murder, the same charges Edmonson still faces.

I've read the details over and over again and I still just don't get it. Reading between the lines, she was a hooker, meeting with a john, but for some reason the boyfriend shot her but is also charged with robbery and child abuse?? This just makes no sense lol

A Tucson man has been sentenced for fatally shooting his girlfriend in a hotel room in 2020.

On Friday, Jan. 14, Jahkwez Desean Wilson was given 10 years on a murder charge and eight months for reckless child abuse. He will serve the sentences at the same time.
Edmonson pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in October 2021 and was sentenced to 18 years in prison.

According to court records, Wilson got a shorter sentence in part because he called 911 and tried to help Nunley.
