Tyler Pence Arrested Months After 2 Children, Ages 1 & 3, Found In Car In Medical Distress

On Sept. 3, 2025, sheriff's deputies responded to a medical call near K-10 and Kill Creek Road.

They found the suspect, Tyler Pence, and two children, ages 1 and 3, inside a vehicle.

Deputies performed lifesaving measures on both children.

The 3-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 1-year-old was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Hospital staff treated the child, who was eventually released.

Deputies say that, through a collaborative effort with the Medical Examiner's Office and hospital staff, investigators determined the children had been left in the car on a hot day.
