Megan with Justin Edison

Megan Thee Stallion’s former bodyguard — and a key witness in the case against Tory Lanez — has vanished ahead of her scheduled appearance in court, a rep said.

Justin Edison, a former member of the rapper’s security squad, is slated to testify next week in the ongoing assault trial against Lanez for allegedly shooting Megan in the foot in 2020.

But Edison’s testimony appeared to be in jeopardy on Saturday, according to an attorney for Megan Thee Stallion.

“We recently learned that Justin Edison went missing right before he was scheduled to appear in court,” the attorney, Alex Spiro, told TMZ Saturday.

Spiro said the LAPD is “currently looking into his disappearance,” but a spokesperson for the department told The Post that a missing person’s case has not been opened on Edison.

When asked if it was wrong to say the police were searching for Edison, the spokesperson said, “Yeah, because it makes him look sound like he’s a criminal.”

I don't think Megan should be slut shamed I just wish she had higher standards and did not give trolls like
Tory Lanez a chance.

Rapper Tory Lanez was found guilty Friday on all counts in his Los Angeles trial for shooting fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion. Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, could face a maximum sentence of more than 22 years in prison and deportation back to Canada.

A Los Angeles jury found Lanez, 30, guilty of discharging a firearm with gross negligence, assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.

Megan Thee Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete, testified that Lanez shot at her feet five times following a party in the Hollywood Hills on July 12, 2020. She also told the court that the shooting was preceded by an argument between Megan and Lanez that got heated, especially when they began attacking each other's music careers.

"I feel like that really rubbed him the wrong way," she said during her testimony, according to The Associated Press. "He kept yelling and cursing."

Tory Lanez denied new trial in Megan Thee Stallion shooting

A Los Angeles judge on Tuesday denied a motion for a new trial from lawyers for rapper Tory Lanez, who was convicted of three felonies in December for shooting hip-hop star Megan Thee Stallion in the feet and wounding her.

Judge Herriford rejected arguments from lawyers for Lanez that evidence was wrongly admitted at the trial he presided over. He said that the exclusion of the disputed evidence would not have made a difference at the trial.

Lanez, 30, whose legal name is Daystar Peterson, will now be sentenced for convictions of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, having a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. He could get up to 22 years in prison and faces deportation to his native Canada.

His lawyers are "disappointed," because they had an elaborate show and tell session planned, but Judge Herriford wasn't buying it.

Canadian rapper Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years after he was found guilty of shooting hip-hop superstar Megan Thee Stallion in the foot after the pair left a Los Angeles party in 2020.

The hearing began Monday and wrapped Tuesday, ending a high-profile case that saw Megan, 28, subjected to what prosecutors called "repeated and grotesque attacks" and cast a spotlight on the scrutiny Black women face when reporting abuse.

Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, shot the three-time Grammy winner, whose legal name is Megan Pete, following a party at reality star and makeup mogul Kylie Jenner’s Hollywood Hills home July 12, 2020.

Lanez, 31, had pleaded not guilty, but a jury found him guilty of three felony charges in December: assault with a semi-automatic firearm, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.

Wearing an orange jumpsuit, Lanez addressed the court before the judge handed down his sentence. He apologized for his actions and said he took full responsibility for the 2020 shooting.

“If I could change it, I would but I can’t,” he said. “Everything I did that night, I take full responsibility,” he added. “I truly am just trying to be a better person.”

Lanez looked surprised but remained quiet after receiving the sentence. The mother of his son burst into tears as she was led out of the courtroom.

Rapper Tory Lanez has reportedly been stabbed at a California prison.
Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, is incarcerated at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi after his 2020 shooting of fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion.

According to multiple reports, Lanez was taken by hospital to Bakersfield after another inmate stabbed him. Lanez is expected to survive the attack.
The motivation behind the stabbing has not been revealed, but Lanez has continued to draw public attention even after he was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2023.
