A Springfield man is facing six felony charges following accusations that he sexually assaulted a child.
Cameron Nowlin, 19, was arrested on charges of statutory rape, statutory sodomy, sexual misconduct and attempted enticement of a child.
Court documents say the acts occurred when Nowlin was 17 and 18, and the victim was younger than 12.
According to a probable cause statement in the case, the victim told interviewers at the Child Advocacy Center in November that she had been sexually abused by Nowlin several times and he had showed her pornography.
The victim's sibling also reported witnessing some of the sexual abuse, according to the statement.
Springfield police interviewed Nowlin in January and he allegedly denied touching the girl in a sexual way.
