Sentenced: Schvonnah Plemmons Gave Toddler 2 Black Eyes, 8 Broken Ribs

A Bessemer City woman is accused of breaking a toddler’s ribs, and causing other injuries.

Schvonnah Plemmons, 25, is charged with one felony count of intentional child abuse causing serious bodily injury.

According to warrants, Plemmons allegedly abused an 18-month-old child between June 1, 2018, and July 20.

Police say Plemmons intentionally inflicted serious bodily injury upon the child, including two black eyes, eight broken ribs, bruising in the small of the back, and redness and bruising around the neck area.

Plemmons’ relationship to the child is unclear at this time.
