According to an earlier press release, Demetres Givens, 42, and Jamie Thompson, 37, were wanted by the Canton Police Department for involuntary manslaughter and endangering children.
Officials said, on May 5, Canton Police responded for a report of a child that was found in bed not breathing. The child was later pronounced at the hospital. A cause of death was not released.

The child was a boy.

They both look like they died and were dug up.

His hair was pretty luxurious in this pic.

He pumped this buffalo at some point.

He definitely has a preference.

They have a child together that was born in July 2024.

The child they killed must have been his because the only child that they have posted who would be around 4 now is a child that has two Black parents.

Her older children are teens.

The gofundme says the child was starved and neglected after he was removed by CPS from the mother and placed in the home of Givens and Thompson.

Givens must be related in someway to the child since the mother did not want the child placed in this home.

Until all the facts come in it is will be hard to decipher what really happened.

There appears to an article that may have more information but it is behind a paywall.

Legally kidnapped? It does happen all too often I am afraid. If mom said NOT to put her child with that family member then CPS should of headed that advice-the guy was the mom's BROTHER and she did not want her child w/ him/them, she knew her brother better than CPS and Mom obviously had her reasons for not wanting her small child in her brothers care, CPS should of listened. At a MINIMUM they should of been doing check ins, to starve to death is painful and torturous, poor baby. Have to follow this story

RIP Baby Berko

The GFM has reached 0.011% of it's goal. The people are smarter than this shit! That said, I'mma be 55 in Sept. This 37 year old looks decades OLDER than me. I am 18 years+/- older than she is! Oil of Olay skank, it's only $12.99 at Target... :jawdrop:

I would agree about Oil of Olay-my mom has been using that at least my whole life (I am 50) she is pushing 80 and easily passes for like 60-it's the lack of wrinkles-she uses it everyday!!!

My Mom (82) has always used Hawaiian Tropic tanning oil for her moisturizer. Her face is like a glass baby's butt! It's annoying because that stuff makes me feel claustrophobic! That stuff's only $10.49 at Target! :shame:

They were the adoptive parents of the child and Demetres Givens was the uncle of the child on the mother's side.

According to court documents, the adoptive mother, Jamie Thompson, and adoptive father, Demetres Givens, had starved the child to the point where he was malnourished for months.
Once the child started showing signs of his malnutrition, the couple cancelled various appointments with medical professionals, which ultimately led to his death. The cause was determined to be starvation.
“It’s unimaginable,” the biological mother of the 3-year-old, Myracle Givens, said. “I never would have thought that I would see my older brother, a person that I grew up with since I was a baby, on the news, for something like this regarding one of my children.”
Myracle had lost custody of her children after domestic issues with her previous partner, and since 3-year-old Berko Givens was born after her children were rehomed, Berko was placed into foster care.

A child died and you're talking about oil of olay?
It's kind of what we do here. Welcome to the Den. I was the one that spoke about Oil of Olay, so please don't take your ire out on @the cat did it, they were just playing along to my snark. A great many of us here at Dreamin' Demon have overcome monstrous childhoods, hating on abusers is our jam. We care about the victims here, not the perps. So a snarky comment about an abuser is, for the most part, quite welcome here. If that bothers you I'm sorry. We hope you'll stick around to discover that even snark can be a cathartic thing. It might be shocking at first, but you'll soon discover that our hearts, and minds, are actually in the right place. With the victims.

how can anyone starve another one till death i will never understand that ... what an awful awful way to go ... just sitting there and hearing their cries till they can't cry anymore till their poor bodies just give up all the while stuffing your own face grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and it is murder as any kid of about 7 will know you don't feed something living be it plants (water them) animals or people they die... so it is murder plain and simple and yes premeditated murder for any adult to starve a living being........ children are growing and as such needs food and drinks more often that a grown adult (i have lived for years on one meal a day because i can't eat unless hungry but that is just me) i am now 80+y.o. and in good health and have been eating just one meal a day since wow for 60+ years but my kids (including fosters) ate 3 meals a day and snacks and when in their teens when it was "no time for breakfast" i always made them take breakfast bars to eat on their way to school ...

My brother and his wife were HIDEOUS when it came to nutrition. I did what I could do when their two girls were in my care. I always gave them meat, veg, fruit and some kind of carb. on their plates and I would give them the Carnation Instant Breakfast drink while I was there, and at least two (for each of them), if not three servings for them in the fridge when I left. Since I was there twice a week, it supplemented a lot for them. I can't imagine doing club volleyball for over a decade, being as horribly fed as they usually were. Just because you live a mile+/- away from the McDonalds that is right next door to the Taco Bell doesn't mean that you should buy ALL of your meals at those two places... :banghead:

@BuffettGirl who can afford fast food except for a treat and even then heck a fast food meal is nearly the same price as going to a family restaurant where the food is much better, more choices and more filling ... but it is far better to just planned nutricious meals at home and also cheaper...
Now I will admit to eating FAR more Taco Bell in my life than a rational human being should eat in a lifetime, but it's only block away! Which sounds like I should be living in the sketchy part of town, but I don't, honestly. :shame:

i also live walking distance from taco bell but it seemed that the dishes i liked there aren't on the menu anymore and that as the prices of their meals went up the portions decreased .. the last taco i had there it had maybe one table spoon of meat, and a big maybe about that amount, lots of lettuce cuz it was in season, 3 tiny peices of tomatoes , and the shredded cheese just flew over the whole thing lol...

I remember back in the 70's when the bottom HALF of the taco was meat, and since I don't like lettuce on my taco and I hate tomatoes unless they're blended smooth, I always asked for extra cheese on my tacos. The second HALF of the taco was all cheese*. Now, I get a miniscule line of meat at the bottom and maybe that amount of cheese as the EXTRA CHEESE. Those tacos were $0.40, now they're $2.99 for way, way less food. I am IRKED! :rage:

*Oh, and they didn't make you PAY for the extra cheese back in the 70's either. This is my standard Taco Bell order. "Three tacos, no lettuce with extra cheese". Been eating this for nearly 50 years now. The only thing that changes is how much meat and cheese they're taking away from the tacos of yesteryear. And them charging for the cheese starting sometime when we were living in Johannesburg, between 1981 & 1983. Just learned that they do not yet have Taco Bell in South Africa. I'mma need to win the lottery so I can move back and open one!

ETA: Learned how to spell the word "the"...
