Sentenced: Ohio Man Charged With Rape Of 3YO Girl

A Cambridge man is facing several charges after allegedly raping a 3-year-old girl.

Michael Smith, 31, has been charged with two counts of rape, kidnapping, and pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person.

Guernsey County Sheriff Jeffrey Paden said Friday an investigation was launched earlier this week after a complaint was filed by the girl’s mother.

Authorities in Ohio are searching for a Cambridge woman wanted on rape and other sex charges in a case involving a 3-year-old girl.

Officials have charged Melanie Young, 45, with rape and attempted rape, as well as 14 counts of using a minor in "nudity-oriented material or performance" and two counts of pandering the materials,

Deputies don't know where Young is, the release said. She hasn't been at home for about two weeks, according to investigators.

A second suspect, Michael Smith, was charged in the case last month,
