A Nashville man is facing multiple counts of child abuse charges after he's accused of slamming his 2-year-old son against a wall and hitting him because he was crying at the end of last year.
According to affidavits, Brandon Weston, 32 is accused of slamming his young son against a wall back on Dec. 16. Weston's girlfriend, the son's mother, said she was able to get the child to safety and threw a TV remote at the wall out of anger. Police were told Weston then picked up his loaded semiautomatic gun and pointed it in his girlfriend's face, saying she wasn't "worth his freedom." The victim said she was in fear for her life that day.
A little over a week later on Christmas day, police were called to the couple's home along Lewis Street after Weston reportedly "aggressively smacked" his son's forehead because he was crying. She reported the Dec. 16 abuse on that day.
