2-month-old Leonard Williams was brought to a hospital emergency room on April 29, 2014, he was already deceased. An autopsy showed that Leonard died of malnutrition and dehydration.

Leonard lived with his bio-donors Rebekah Williams-McCarthy and Michael Williams, his siblings ages 1 and 2 in an apartment littered with dirty diapers and trash.

Leonard was being fed sugar water because his mother would not pick up vouchers for baby formula nor did she take Leonard to medical appointments.

Williams-McCarthy did buy Adderall and marijuana for Williams to calm his nerves and keep him from falling asleep while watching the children, who he admitted to leaving alone for long periods of time.

After Leonard's death his two siblings were saved from a life of abuse and neglect.

Michael Williams was sentenced to 25 years in prison for neglect of a dependent person, child endangerment resulting in serious injury and child endangerment resulting in bodily injury.

Williams declined to make a statement before he was sentenced. Members of Williams' family also had no comment after the hearing.

With good behavior and other credits earned while in prison, Williams' sentence could be cut by more than half.
Rebekah Williams-McCarthy was sentenced to 25 years in prison for the death of her baby son and the neglect of two other children.

She faces no mandatory minimum sentence and could have her sentence reduced by more than half for good

Oh lookie, her kids aren't on that list.

What a complete fuckup. If parents can be any more worthless than that without driving onto a bridge and dropping the babies over the side, I'm not sure how.

This happened back in 2014 apparently? God that state is slow. Pretty much all of the news links say go away worthless europe-person so, I cant read what was up with that.

At my house the amount WIC gave us was not enough for my hungry little boy, but my mother helped us with a couple cans a month and we were fine. I cannot wrap my head around letting a nursing baby die of starvation because you can't find a minute to go pick up the vouchers. That fat bitch should have to go with out food for a while, but she still wouldn't understand it was all her and daddy dick's fault.

This past summer, I ran out of formula, and couldn't get more, as I was outta money. I almost went out and sold my ass to get my boy's formula to last until my WIC benefits came in. I eventually asked my son's grandmother for help. I cannot wrap my head around my now 13-month-old son or any child starving in my presence. I'd sell pussy with the quickness if it meant my boy eating. Kill em both.

I used to work at a pediatrician's office. We regularly got free cases of formula for parents to try from the manufacturer. Ask your pediatrician next time you run short. More than likely, they'll be happy to help.
