"The identities of two individuals accused of assaulting a Black man in a Louisiana casino floor were revealed this week. During the confrontation, the women assaulted the victim, a U. S. Military veteran, and a white man twice uttered a racial slur after he sat down at a slot machine near them."

"The incident occurred at the Margaritaville Resort Casino in Bossier City.

The same report identified the white couple as Ashley and William Dison of Louisiana. Their names were posted widely on social media.

“The story was that the woman got upset that a black man was sitting near her,” a poster identified as Tizzy Ent said in a tweet. “Or, as she put it, maybe an Arab.”

During the confrontation, the couple uttered several racial slurs a the man.

The male accomplice told the victim, “Stop being a little bitch, you f*****g N****r.”

The man later repeated this statement. At one point, Ashley Dison also called the victim an “Arabian.”

A casino employee allegedly asked the victim to stop recording. He refused.

“I did absolutely nothing wrong, nor did I defend myself against them,” Leslie added. “Thanks to the Bossier City Police and the casino for standing up for me!”

The victim is apparently a veteran of the U.S. military."

I can't find a shred of evidence they were arrested for assault.
As it's said around here frequently, "I wonder why that is?"

White couple charged after aiming racial slurs at Black local hero

The couple were later charged with disturbing the peace and public drunkenness, Bossier Police Department Public Information Officer Louis Johnson said to Storyful.
"I did absolutely nothing wrong nor did I defend myself against them, and I honestly feel some type of way because I didn't," he said.

He echoed this sentiment to Storyful.

"I have not had a good night's rest since this incident," he said. "I just want justice served as a reminder to treat everyone with respect and dignity."

To some in Bossier City, Leslie is known as a man who does treat others this way.

In 2021, the U.S. Army veteran became a local hero after assisting two city police officers to save a woman's life.

Wasting away in Margaritaville.

Name and shame the assailants.
I think we try to legislate social issues as best we can, but you can't legislate human decency. Sometimes public shaming is the most effective tool. Persuading people out of this mindset would be pointless, but we might embarrass them enough to keep their ugliness to themselves.
