Local humane agents are calling the condition they found a dog in Youngstown one of the worst cases of abuse and neglect they’ve seen.

Five-month-old Bentley was discovered Monday evening lying under a bush at a home on Youngstown’s east side. Paramedics answering a call there for the owner of the house found the dog and called police and Animal Charity.

Agents say the puppy weighed just 11 pounds, was severely dehydrated and starved.
“The man did state that it was his son’s dog. There was another dog there as well who died previously, and this his son had been incarcerated for two months and that he was just waiting for the puppy to die,” said Jane MacMurchy with Animal Charity of Ohio.

Bentley was rushed to a veterinary hospital in Akron last night and is in very poor condition.

And this is why your son is in jail because you are a piece of shit - hopefully you will be joining your son soon.

so it is your son's pup and your son was incarcerated for 2 months and you didn't want or couldn't afford to take care of the pup .. big deal all you had to do is bring it to the dog pound and tell them it was an abandon pup.. no lies there as your son wasn't there to care for it so therefor abandon him when he went to jail... if that is how you treat an innocent animal i am glad i wasn't part of your family or even knew you... there are no excuses for cruelty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Worth reposting, even if everyone out to Alpha Centauri and Andromeda has already blubbered over it eleven times:

Now, let's see if we can be as loving to humanity, too:

Excerpt:

The totem words and adjectives we use to describe Israel, a perverse and pornographically murderous society, fail. One day flows into the next, each indistinguishable in the level of sadistic torture and carnage dreamed up by the IDF Einsatzgruppen.

As televised vignettes at July’s end showed, the Israelis, a “bizarre specimen of moral laxity,” in the 1728 words of Southern gentleman William Byrd, had been openly rationalizing the need to codify in law the rape of Palestinian hostages.

From Knesset members to the distinguishably dumb panelists who festoon that country’s tv networks, “Israeli media’s coverage of the rape of Palestinian [hostages] shows support for sexual violence in service of genocide.”

The crimes of genocide, the making and mass-marketing of online snuff films featuring murdered Palestinians, and the commission of extra-judicial assassination the globe over—these Israel has already de facto legalized in what passes for law in that thugocracy.

By the Middle East Monitor’s telling, “A Gaza detainee allegedly sexually abused by Israeli soldiers at Sde Teiman … suffered ‘a ruptured bowel, a severe injury to his anus, lung damage and broken ribs’ as a result of the immense torture he was subjected to by Israeli occupation soldiers. …One of the nine Israeli soldiers arrested for abusing him was released without charge. Deliberations about the other eight are continuing.”

Like Israel’s genocide in Gaza, the rape in Sde Teiman was captured on camera. Watch! Have an emesis dish close by. ……

Daughter of rabbi takes Israel to task for its psychotic cruelty. I guess that makes her "anti-Semitic," or some such nonsense.

Back in August 2024, an emergency call came in from the Youngstown Police Department regarding a deceased puppy and one near death. Our agents rushed to the scene on the East Side and that’s when they found him. East side of “Youngstown, Ohio”. A City known for animal abuse.
That’s where they found a puppy unable to move. He was so emaciated and dehydrated. He lifted his nose as best he could when he saw them. I can only imagine the relief he felt that someone finally came to help him. We were hoping we weren’t too late. He was stabilized by our vet techs, so that he could make the drive to Akron Medvet. Bentley weighed 11 lbs and was approximately 5 months old when found. Bentley spent several days in the ICU, receiving thousands of dollars worth of life saving care. His body was fighting for his life, but his heart had the will to survive. We weren’t going to give up. Bentley spent several weeks recovering from the harrowing abuse and neglect he faced. Spending time with our team for overnight home visits on weekends and receiving critical monitoring in our clinic during the days.
Thankfully, Bentley has been thriving in his new home. Bentley was adopted with an amazing family, who also adopted Eloise a few years ago from Animal Charity.
Thank you for opening your home and heart to a rescue dog, you're making a real difference in their life. You are true heroes for giving a rescue dog a second chance at happiness.
