That's easier than it sounds in some cases depending on what the round was fired from. Glocks pre 5th generation are hard to get definite ballistics from hence why Glock changed the rifling on the 5th gens. It was actually customer feed back. Might be able to tell based on the bullet and who on scene was using that round.
