A mother came home to find her 21-month old son stiff, beaten and bruised after being left in the care of a babysitter, according to court documents obtained by ABC15.

Phoenix police report that Tuesday morning, the child's mother went to work, leaving 29-year-old Andrew Christopher Plummer in charge of her three children.

When she returned home that evening, she reportedly found the 21-month-old victim sleeping on top of his sibling. She told the sibling to put the toddler to bed.
Several hours later, she went to check on the victim and she found him "stiff and bruised on the left side of his face." His eyes were bruised and swollen, according to court documents.
The mother confronted Plummer, who denied hurting the child and left the home.

The victim was taken to Phoenix Children's Hospital where doctors say he suffered from two broken lower leg bones, brain bruising and swelling, and bruising to his arms, legs, and face.

Police interviewed the victim's siblings who reportedly told police that they saw Plummer strike the child.

She's not wrong. She didnt even check on the baby for hours after getting home. She got the other kid to take care of putting the baby to bed instead of doing it herself. I suspect the kids probably do a lot of looking after themselves.

That a 10 and 7 year old recognize the baby wasn't breathing proper but didnt immediately say anything to their mom about the beating, kind of leads me to believe they get abused on the regular, by more then just the DoM

NO justice for Steel !
Very hard for me to post, but again I want everyone & anyone to know how messed up "our" system is. Since 4/2/2019 my son, Denver & I have been dealing with AZ state, victims advocate, deputies, prosecuting attorney, insurance; thousands of calls, emails, text & too many others to list (dr, therapy, specialist, hospitals, prescriptions, etc). I am mad & sad that the monster, Andrew C. Plummer in Phoenix, AZ was arrested for "child abuse" 4/2/2019 incarcerated 248 days then bonded out. Our last call today with AZ state judge agrees w/ plea offer- 4 months jail starting 5/2022 unless good behavior then jail will be deleted. 3 years probation. (Found out monster has been working full time for months). Believe me- I have sent "every" picture, dr/ hospital records, every medication, everything you can think of for 2 yrs. Thank you for those that sent impact letters. This grandma did let AZ state know how I feel, how upset, mad, sad & injustice this case is for Steel. I will keep advocating everyday to everyone - child abuse? Our system? Justice?
We were on previous case call before Steel's and man charged for drugs serving 4 years in jail. My grandson- attempted murder (not child abuse) Andrew Plummer 4 months in jail? Steel will never be the same from brain damage, paralysis, seizures, delayed, constant assistance for everything.

Im so sorry, Ive kept him in my thoughts and prayers since I first read this. I know he will never bethe same, but Im glad he survived
