U.S. marshals arrested Ebony Gee in West Philadelphia on Monday who was wanted in connection with the death of an infant in Camden two months ago.

A 4-month-old baby boy was found dead inside a trash bag in a bassinet at a home on Lakeshore Drive in Camden on May 19.
The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office said the baby was being cared for by 43-year-old Ebony Gee since April.

A witness told authorities that Gee wouldn’t allow them to see the infant and never saw the child in her home. But on May 19, the witness entered the bedroom and saw the dead baby. The witness called police.

That same day, prosecutors said Gee sent the witness threatening texts.

Gee is facing desecration of human remains and witness tampering charges. Due to the condition of the body, the medical examiner was unable to determine the cause or manner of death.

Why did the parents not contact the police

Gee had been caring for the child at her partner’s home in Camden, New Jersey, earlier this year when she suddenly refused to allow the parents or her partner to see the infant, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
Gee’s partner told police she kept the baby in a second-floor room of the home and would not allow anyone into the room. It is not clear why Gee was caring for the baby, the Inquirer said.
Then, on May 19, Gee’s partner went into the room and found the infant dead inside a trash bag and stuffed inside the bassinet. She then contacted the authorities.

The child’s parents confirmed to police that Gee had been caring for the child.

what?? she refused the parents and also her partner (she was living in her partner's home) see the baby and they all said ok no prob?? didn't the partner ever wonder why she never heard the baby cry? was Gee preforming all the normal daily routine of caring for a baby after she stop letting anyone see the baby?? and that baby was dead for quite a few days as the medical examiner couldn't determine the cause or manner of dead due to the condition of the baby... what about the smell coming from that room?? so many questions :(
