Regina Brito and her son Daniel Braziel were gambling at Gold country casino located in Oroville Ca. Just as they were about to drag their broke asses out of there and go home with empty pockets, a miracle happened.

An elderly patron won a large jack pot.

Mom and son decided that money was theirs for the taking.

As Regina Brito revved the motor on the get a way car, Daniel Braziel shoved the elderly patron and took her winnings and other items. He then scurried (like the rat he is) to the waiting car.
Off they went. A clean get a way. So they thought.

Deputies and detectives were able to get surveillance video of the robbery from the casino. BCSO said after the robbery, Braziel was seen on camera running out of the casino and into the parking lot into the passenger seat of a vehicle. The driver was later identified as a very haggard 49 yr old Regina Brito, of Marysville.

BUTTE COUNTY S.O. detectives obtained arrest warrants for Braziel and Brito and a search warrant for a home on Olivehurst Ave.

Butte county detectives teamed up with Yuba County sheriff's Detectives and served the search warrant and found the vehicle Brito was driving during the robbery. Detectives found Brito at a residence in Linda and arrested her. While Brito was being arrested, BCSO says detectives found the property taken during the robbery.

Later the same night, BCSO detectives would find Braziel driving in the Linda area. He was arrested without incident. BCSO says during the arrest and subsequent interview with Braziel, they found additional evidence related to the robbery.

Braziel and Brito are both enjoying accommodations at Butte County Jail.
They have each been charged with felony counts of robbery and elder abuse.

It never said. Im sure it was a handpay so for sure over $1,200.00 but it could have been way more.
Like one of the grand progressive jackpots.
$30k or less they pay right on the spot. Any larger ones a rep from the company that owns the machine comes and inspects it. That all takes days.
 
I've only been to a casino once near Phoenix and I lost my $25 in no time on a nickle slot machine. I was done! However, I do know other people who go regularly to Oklahoma and those casinos all have hella cameras plus they drive around constantly to make sure no one is breaking into vehicles. If I was going to try some stupid shit like that, I certainly wouldn't do it at a casino.
 
So the casino rents the machine? Or the owner of the machine places it there? Who is responsible for the payout?
Maybe the bells and whistles that go off when you win should be a little quieter? Or it should be policy for someone from the casino to escort winners to their vehicles when they leave?

Anyone at anytime for any reason can request an escort to their car.
This lady sat down at another machine and started playing when he (daniel braziel) shoved her and grabbed her purse. Of course mom and son had this planned because she went out to get the car ready to haul ass out of there.

Also, yes those really high paying machines are owned by another company and are tethered with many casinos. Im speaking of the ones with the mega huge payouts.
I dont know the exact details such as are they leased, rented or does the company get a % of the earnings. The actual payout would come from the proceeds that machine has made.
Some machines are owned by the casino the individual smaller payout machines which are more affordable to play.
Those mega pay machines cost between $2.50 and $10.00 a push.
When i gamble i go for the .25 cents or .50 cents
I know my odds are low that i would win any large amounts of money, so i stay clear of that nonsense.
 
Anyone too stupid to know that casinos have 4 video cameras per square foot oughta be in jail, if only to protect their stupid asses. I've never been in a casino and I know they have cameras out the wazoo there. I don't care for gambling either, if I ever even play the lottery I have a set amount and once that's gone I'm done. Safest way to go about it, if you ask me.
 

There has been a 3rd arrest. And he is a total dipshit for thinking he could use this victims credit cards and get awsy with it.
On Wednesday, the sheriff’s office announced that 32-year-old Yuba City resident Jeremy Bowman had also been arrested.

Detectives allege that Bowman conspired with Braziel to charge about $1,000 to the elderly woman’s credit cards.
A search warrant was served at Bowman’s Yuba City home on Tuesday and he was arrested on charges of identity theft and possession of stolen property.

Other items – including heroin, stolen property and ammunition – were also discovered during the search of Bowman’s home, deputies say.

I went to a casino once and had to leave the gaming area, the noise, the smoke and no windows or clocks were enough to give me a panic attack! Rotting it, targeting an elderly woman! Another trio not fit for society. That’s a rough 47! Hard living!
