"Gordon James King is facing charges of aggravated battery, false imprisonment and tampering with a victim.
Authorities said they were called to the law office on West Fairbanks Avenue on May 1 for reports of a domestic disturbance.
According to an arrest report, King grew angry with the victim during the proceeding because the victim attempted to call off the deposition of King's wife.
The report said King called the victim derogatory names, before walking around a table and punching the attorney in the head and chest.
King reportedly asked the victim, "What are you going to do now?!"
As a response, the arrest report said, the victim told King he was calling 911 and grabbed his phone.
Officials said King took the phone from the victim and threw it on the floor, but someone outside the room yelled that emergency officials were on their way.
King allegedly then said, "Well (expletive) then," and began to slam the victim's head into a conference table.
The report said after King slammed the victim's head down for the third time, the victim said he feared for his life and grabbed for a knife in his pocket. The victim slashed at King, striking him in hopes King would let him go, according to the report.
"I'm going to kill you. You're going to die right here," King allegedly told the victim during the altercation.
Officials said King got a hold of the knife and slashed at the victim's throat, slicing the victim's hand instead, then stabbing him twice in the side. An arrest report said King told the victim he was killing him.
King eventually walked out of the conference room. Authorities found him on the ground in the parking lot."
