Chance Baldwin, 25, and Felicianna Montez, 23, are both facing manslaughter charges and abuse charges.

According to citations, police were called to the scene of a two-month-old child who was found unresponsive by Baldwin and Montez just before 5 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The two admitted to drinking the night before. They had taken the child into bed with them and when they awoke, they found the 2-month-old unresponsive.

They put the infant down in bed and when they awoke they told officers the child was unresponsive in bed with them.

Baldwin and Montez are also face other charges related to the endangerment of another child in the room.

Left out the part of being drunk and co-sleeping with the baby in the gofundme

Chance Baldwin, 25, and Felicianna Montez, 23, were arrested in September 2025 and charged with manslaughter and child abuse after police responded to a report of an unresponsive infant in Meade County, Kentucky.

According to the arrest citation, Baldwin and Montez both told officers that they had been drinking alcohol throughout the night prior to putting the child down for bed, only to wake up and find the child unresponsive in bed with them.
Court records now show all charges against Montez were dropped.

Baldwin pleaded guilty to two counts of wanton endangerment in exchange for a one-year prison sentence. According to court documents, the manslaughter charge against him was dismissed as part of the plea agreement.
