"Deputies with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office say they have arrested a man accused of shooting his father.

Investigators say they responded to a report of a person shot on Thurston McCrory Road in the Gonzales area around 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6.

Deputies say they arrived at the scene and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.

Authorities say they learned Jonathan Landry, 22, of Gonzales, got into a fight with his father after his father accused him of stealing guns from a compartment in the home.

When Landry’s father attempted to confront him, Landry shot his father and shot the family dog in the process, according to the sheriff’s office."

So I went virtually driving in the little hmm is it a town? I'm not sure. Gonzales, Louisiana.

What's I think an issue is when I zoom out, that Louisiana is pretty much a swamp. I think ppl at least within the next 100 years should be sure they get the hell out cause I think that shit's gonna drown one day.

That guy thing in the picture of the OP looks horrible. And it takes a tard to be 22 years old and shoot at ur dad, assuming the dad wasn't attacking or some shit. Gonzales looks hick in a weird way ... I'd kinda not be surprised if strange things led up to the shooting.

99% agree with you, but please don't use bastardizations of "retard" to insult people. Intellectually disabled people can't help the way they are, and don't deserve to be compared to this waste of space. Some of my favorite people are ID. If you talked like this in front of them, I would punch you.

Ahhhh.... Well, I would have no desire to be around mentally-disabled people and verbally assault them. I would be un-inclined to use the words retard or tard around them as a casual word, either The words retard and its shortened version tard are in the process of evolving in my idiolect to have a meaning that is independent of mentally handicapped, exactly the process that happened with the word idiot in the years past.

I don't see myself artificially changing my language use, don't feel like that's doing anyone a favor, but I would want you to know that there's no way I would use those words in front of your handicapped friends, including the word idiot which has completely transformed, or any derogatory words similar to that. I "call" the situation you're describing as "mentally handicapped" personally, but there are probably more correct words.
