On Sunday, July 21, the Hopkinsville Police responded to Jennie Stuart Medical Center on a report that a 20-month-old child had overdosed on drugs.

Life-saving measures were administered to the child at the Medical Center, but the child was later transferred to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital for more advanced care.
According to police, detectives and medical personnel searched the home of the child and found a firearm, marijuana and a quantity of pills suspected to be fentanyl.

The Department of Children Based Services removed four additional children from the home.

25-year-old Jasmine Bartolo was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal abuse, trafficking fentanyl, and possession of marijuana.
