Honduran national Jose Ignacio Bonilla Garcia, 32, was later nabbed by authorites in the nick of time — as he tried to flee across the border in Texas, authorities said.

Garcia had dragged the drunken, passed-out stranger away from the Esperanza Deli Café in Amityville just before midnight March 27, pulling the victim’s unresponsive body behind a dumpster and raping him, police said Monday — noting that the entire attack was caught on surveillance video.

The victim wasn’t found until hours later by a delivery driver, who spotted his unconscious body and called 911, according to police.

The wounded man was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries and underwent a sex-assault exam, which recovered DNA evidence that pointed to Garcia, officials said without elaborating.

But by the time police had recovered all of the evidence, Garcia was already long gone from the area, hopping on a Greyhound Bus headed to the southern border, authorities said

US Marshals then tracked him down to Rosenberg, Texas, and took him into custody before extraditing him back to Suffolk County.

The Department of Homeland Security has already lodged an immigration detainer to have Garcia deported after his prosecution.
