A Nashville woman admitted to shooting two other women, including her sister, in Franklin, Kentucky on Friday.
Paula Cashman, 66, was charged with attempted murder, first degree assault, first degree wanton endangerment and receiving a stolen firearm.
During her confession, Cashman told police that she intended to shoot a 29-year-old victim, but accidentally her sister, who police described as "an older woman." Cashman admitted to firing three rounds from a single action revolver.
She told police she drove up to Franklin from Nashville after her sister called her stating she was in an argument with the other victim. Franklin Police responded to a disturbance in which a handgun was reportedly pulled on a female.
Two officers made contact with Cashman, who was in the driveway of the residence. She told police that she had shot two females inside the residence and handed a small silver handgun to an officer.
Police secured the weapon and Cashman was detained. While clearing the residence, officers found Cashman's sister sitting on the kitchen floor with an apparent gunshot wound to the stomach area.
The other victim came down the hallway and told police she had been shot multiple times. The 29-year-old said Cashman shot her after entering the residence.
A 3-year-old child was inside the residence at the time of the shooting. Police also found an indoor grow of marijuana after execution of a search warrant.
