A Utah couple who allegedly used a drone to secretly film people in their bedrooms and bathrooms have been charged with voyeurism.

Aaron Dennis Foote, 39, and his 34-year-old girlfriend Terisha Lee Norviel were each charged with one count of voyeurism using concealed or disguised electronic equipment, the Salt Lake Tribune reported.

An Orem man on Dec. 3 was getting ready for the day when he saw a drone flying just outside his bathroom window. Disturbed, the victim got into his car and followed the drone as it flew away from his home.

He chased it to nearby parking lot, according to the arrest affidavit. When the man reviewed the footage on the drone’s SD card and found multiple recordings of people in their homes, he turned it over to the Orem Police Department.

The department in a snarky Facebook post following the incident, called on the suspect to come forward, complete with an image of the drone with the message “We found your drone!” scrawled across the top.

“Are you missing a quadcopter? ... Does the SD in your quadcopter camera have videos of people in their private bedrooms and/or bathrooms?” the Facebook post reads. “Would you like to turn yourself in before we have to come knocking on your door, maybe on Christmas morning, with a warrant?”

[...]

Thanks to footage found on the drone’s camera, officers were able to identify Foote as the operator of the drone. In addition to appearing in the clips himself, recordings also show portions of Foote’s pick-up truck, which helped officers track down the suspects, according to the Tribune.

[...]

Police added the Federal Aviation Administration is additionally looking into whether or not the couple may have violated FAA regulations.

Foote in 2008 pleaded guilty to a class B misdemeanor voyeurism charge in connection with an incident that occurred at an American Fork tanning salon, the newspaper reported. He was placed on a year probation that also required he complete a treatment program for voyeurism.

Yeah, that treatment program works wonders, don't it? Just think what he'd be up to without it!o_O

Wonder what kind of videos they show you in those voyeurism treatment classes, cause you know there's always videos...

this is one of many reasons why I think drones need to be serial numbered and owners licensed. They have also caused numerous issues including almost down planes as well as being a nuisance over areas they shouldn't be and used in illegal operations besides voyeurism

Here's what:

I don't want to see the potty times of ANYONE.

Hot dude nakey? I'm listening....

Hot couple nakey? Do go on....

Pinching off a dirt snake? Nothankyouveryfuckingmuch.

I never did understand why someone would want to watch another human being use the toilet. People that leave cameras running in public restrooms gross me the fuck out.

I wonder about this when I think about some of the really extravagant bathrooms in HOUZZ,
All that money and no water closet ... they must just love watching each other shit. Like they must or why?

A guy in my neighbourhood was terrorizing homes with a drone.
Police did nothing as they said they had no way of identifying the owner.

Enter one fed up dude with a paintball gun and frozen paint balls...problem solved.
It is 16 months and no further intrusions.
When the drone owner contacted cops they laughed and said he brought it on himself.

God I love good cops.
