Carrie Woods let her boyfriend abuse her 15 month old son

As Ryan's biological father the story that the news reported was in fact very true. The only thing left out was the fact that my wife and I called CPS numerous times to report abuse we noticed months prior to this incident happening and nothing came of it because those P.O.S. kept us from him and we had no fixed address for her. That girl and that side of Ryan's family have covered up for them from the very 1st time the doctor noticed his arm was broken. I have full custody of him and he is in fact doing very very well living with my wife and I and he's got the most family support that he's ever had in his life. My wife has been nothing but loving to him and that's why he calls her MOMMY. Those P.O.S. will never ever see him again and I will be filing for child support as soon as that animal is released from her cage. They can all live in their fantasy world and stick up for them all they want. I remember that side of Ryan's family saying it takes a village to raise a child, I guess it also takes a village to hide abuse and chomos as well........ijs....

On the other hand, you also need to make sure not to make light of, diminish or dismiss the child's experience. This boy has lingering issues or disabilities from the abuse he suffered. Refusing to acknowledge that, especially if he asks about it, would be a slap in the face. There is no way that the abusive mother's rights should trump this poor, abused child's rights.

I dont think she should have any rights to this child after this experience ... but I do think it's a delicate situation and I'm not sure given dads own words ... about animals and cages and child support that he can handle this delicately. Like he's focused on taking a woman (animal) to court for child support as soon as she gets out of jail. Like how would that serve anyone? It wouldn't ... and it won't serve him or his son either. And to be clear ... I'm not on moms side. But I'm not on this jerk dads side either.

Dad be nice to your son by talking as well about his mother as you can manage ... its true what they say ... when you attack the other parent ... you're attacking your child too!
 
So I'm jerk for wanting her to basically pay restitution to her own child for what they did to him!?!? Until your child has been raped and beaten to within inches of his life you have no right to say anything regarding my situatuon......she will pay child support and she will never have contact with him because I will get a restraining order as well....call me what you want but you have no right to judge me you dont know anything about this situation other than what you have read and to be honest with you your opinion in invalid to me n probably most of everyone else who has been through this....I am in no way attacking my son by saying what I have every right to say and feel about it....when the time is right he will be told about what happened and I'm pretty sure he'd feel the same way.....I never have and never will say anything to him regarding my opinion unless he asks for my opinion on it and he will be the proper age if I do at all....
10 years is not long enough of a sentence for anyone to serve for what they did and it is just a slap in my sons face that people like this get shorter terms than people who may be drug addicts or whatnot so again your comments are really invalid.....so I'll be a jerk until the day I die over this because I'm the one who never ever hurt a child and I'm the one who was strong through all of this for my son....I could've very easily took a different path and what would that have accomplished...nothing....so if me basically saying how I feel makes mea jerk then oh well....and to address the fact about the 3rd family member to comment after 8 years ...I was googling how much time they had left and just happened to see this site......which I'm kinda glad n mad I did but it is what it is....but until you have been in my shoes or my sons for that matter your comments are really invalid and dont change my opinions whatsoever
 
And about my wife not being his mother lmfao......she is his mother and has been his mother.....being a mother has nothing to do with DNA but it has everything to do with how you love support and care for another human being.....she was only a vessel to bring my son into this world to meet his real mother ...my wife!!!!!

I'm glad to hear you are choosing not to tell your son all the details until he is older, because I think it would be difficult for him to process at a young age. I know from experience, having suffered extreme abuse as a child myself. You are standing by your son and doing the right thing, so good for you. And don't let LithiumGirl's comments bother you too much. She's a little wacky sometimes, but usually means well. Everyone else here has been very supportive of you. I wish you only the best. <3
 
After what we've been through, her comments don't bother me one bit....just felt I should tell her that! Most people agree with my opinions and I accept how others may feel but when you tell someone your opinion about a matter that you have never been through I think it really renders it invalid......

Whatever you say doesnt matter... it just seems like you have an issue with men....I will take her to court because I have that right and she will pay, and if you knew anything about American court systems you would know that juvenile court cases are always sealed....let her know my address, it just makes sure she knows where to send his money...and if she doesn't then she will be back in prison where she belongs anyways so either way it's a win win for our family and the public....a court makes sure that the order will be followed unlike drafting papers in a lawyers office, as to my character lmfao, I'm doing the right thing regardless of what you may think...again say what you want I sleep fine knowing I'm doing the best thing for him you are an irrelevant person who just trolls the internet to fill a void in your own life and whatever you may think of me doesnt bother me one bit ....I know I'm doing right by my son and have a tremendous amount of support regarding how I've handled our situation and how I will continue handle it in the future

Not taking her to court is good advice ... take it or don't its up to you ... just don't get mad when she ends up with access .,.. because that's the most likely out come ... you'll drag her to court, and the judge will see a man that still wants this woman to be part of his life ... like you must, if you wont leave well enough alone and from here ... you're not ... don't want to .. have no intention of leaving well enough alone. Actually she has a no contact order for the rest of her life with him so again tell me how your right!?! I was advised by several court officials of this order and what I should do......so go take some "lithium" n get over yourself eh!
