Arrest documents allege the father of two brothers, who are already accused of child sex crimes and previously worked at East Texas law enforcement agencies, and their younger brother also sexually abused the same young boy.

Carl Laza, 59, is charged with indecency with a child, while Kaleb Laza, 27, is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child, according to jail and arrest records.

Documents obtained by CBS19 confirmed that Carl Laza is the father of former Houston County Deputy Skyler Laza, 34, and former Gladewater police officer Kenan Robert Laza, 29, who were both arrested last week on state and federal charges.

The child told police he had been sexually abused by all three Laza brothers and their father, Carl Laza, since the time he was about 9 years old, the arrest affidavit read.

Both Kenan and Skyler Laza are charged with sexual exploitation of a child (production of child pornography) in federal court. Skyler Laza faces a state charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child and Kenan Laza is charged with indecency with a child.

In an interview with police, the child victim described multiple instances in recent years when he was sexually abused by Kaleb Laza both in the presence of Skyler Laza and when the child was alone. The victim said the last time that Kaleb Laza assaulted him was summer this year, the arrest affidavit read.

While investigating Skyler Laza, a Dallas police detective found a chat thread between Skyler and Kaleb Laza showing them discuss sexually assaulting the child and trading child porn files of the victim. Numerous files were shared by Kaleb Laza in that chat thread.

The document describes one video created in July 2024 showing two men, later determined to be Skyler and Kenan Laza brothers, and the victim committing sexual acts while watching pornography. Based on the detective's training, he determined the video to be child porn.

There's just too much ICK to process with this. And FFS folks, THIS is what happens when you give your male children 'gentle names'. It masks their true being. You think a guy named Kaleb or Skylar is going to a decent, nice, respectable guy and then NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! He, his Daddy and his brothers are ALL pedos instead. A former LEO to boot... it makes me think that since the "dad" was also arrested those 3 boys learned at the hands of their own father....... that said those 3 "boys" should have known how it felt, how it made them feel about their own selves etc and at the age of being too "old" for their old man's interest they would have learned to protect the younger one(s) and never ever repeat what was done to them.......... i guess some grow up and learn from what happened to them and finds it unacceptable and break the cycle of abuse (physical, mental, emotional or sexuat) while others just think "hey it happened to me and didn't kill me" so they keep repeating the abusive cycle

i sure hope he isn't one of the "boys" son ....... cuz at the very least the oldest one is old enough to have a child that age .... that poor young child will have enough on his plate without the added hurt that it was done by that close family members ...... i sure hope it was that young man that found the courage to tell someone what had and was still happening to him...... those 4 p.o.s. bassturds belong under the jail but with there rears sticking out so they can be sexually abused multiple times a day ............

Can't help but wonder if dear 'ol dad didn't abuse the sons when they were young. There are too many cases where people unfortunately choose to stay in the toxic cycle and then become abusers themselves. Obviously, not everyone! Many abuse survivors could never even think of harming another child! But when these "stay in the family" types try to convince themselves it's okay, bad things happen.
