Caretakers Charged Months After They Killed Toddler In Their Care

Just looking at them lets me know that no child should have been with them. He looks just mad for no reason and she looks like she couldn't care less that a child is dead. She is the mother of the child.

Officers said Brycen Christopher Price and Samantha Dix, who were the parental caretakers to the toddler, were charged with homicide by child abuse (neglect).

Both Price and Dix were arrested and booked into the Union County Detention Center.

On Aug. 3, 2025, the Union Public Safety Department responded to a home on Rice Ave Ext. regarding the cardiac arrest of an infant.

Union County EMS transported the infant to Union Medical Center, where she died.
