The family of three children shot on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 27, says one child has died and two others are in the hospital after multiple gunshots were fired on their car.

According to police, a Honda Accord was sprayed with bullets, causing the woman driving to crash into a tree in front of a barbershop.

The barbershop owner, John Willis III, said everyone scattered as the gunfire rang out.

“You could still hear the shots though. Kids screaming, hollering. People running around with blood on them. It all happened so fast too,” said Willis.

Police say the woman, a pregnant mother, was uninjured, but her three children who were also in the car were all hit by the bullets.

All three boys were taken to the hospital, one with critical injuries and two with serious injuries. Family members confirmed to 9News that the oldest, a seven-year-old, has died. The ages of the other two children have not been released. According to the family, though, another one of the boys is awaiting surgery.

A woman charged as an accessory after the fact in the killing of Diellon Daniels, 8, entered a guilty plea late last week.

As part of her guilty plea for the charge of accessory after the fact to first-degree murder, Brianna Crump will serve 3 years on active, supervised probation. She’ll also be required to complete 75 hours of community service work in addition to paying court fees and completing certain classes.

Prosecutors alleged that Crump helped her then-boyfriend, Roger Parker, hide from police between Christmas and New Year’s Eve of 2024. Parker was later found at an apartment on La Margie Avenue belonging to Crump’s mother, Yarnell Crump. Both women were arrested and charged as accessories. Yarnell Crump’s criminal case is ongoing.

Roger Parker was one of four men indicted for killing Daniels and shooting at the boy’s young siblings and mother in November of 2024. Police said the family was riding in a car along Swan Avenue and Scenic Highway that was sprayed with bullets.

Kendrick Profit, Yancey Jarrell, Jr., and Tremell Harris were also charged in connection with the killing.

Court records show their cases will be back in court in August of 2025.
