According to KTVK, Haley Beck and Angela Burlaka, two women who taught at Centennial High School in Peoria, Arizona, were accused of sexual misconduct with the same teenage boy.
Per the report, the teachers were placed on administrative leave in August 2025 after allegations of sexual misconduct emerged.
Beck was accused of grooming a student before he turned 18 in December 2024, with detectives believing sexual harassment occurred during both his sophomore and junior years while she was his psychology and sociology teacher, KTVK reported.

During the investigation, authorities found that more than 4,000 texts regarding sexual and illegal activity were exchanged between the teen and Beck for approximately six weeks. Investigators claim Beck did the following, per the outlet:
Burlaka, who worked at the school for 25 years, voluntarily surrendered her Arizona teaching certificates, while Beck, who began working at the school in 2020, did not, KTVK reported. Ultimately, the Peoria Unified District Governing Board voted unanimously in favor of firing Beck.
