A Montgomery father has been charged in the weekend death of his infant son.
20-year-oldRicardo Ocana is charged with capital murder in the death of 5-month-old Austin Diaz Flora.
On Wednesday, April 7, police responded about 11:30 a.m. to a Montgomery hospital after receiving a report of an infant with life-threatening injuries, said Lt. Jarrett Williams. The infant boy was taken to Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham where he was pronounced dead Saturday.
Few details have been released but Williams said a forensic exam of the child resulted in the death being ruled a homicide.
