Metro Police arrested a North Carolina man Wednesday afternoon after he showed up to Nashville General Hospital with scratches on his hands, saying he tried to kill his mother.

Police say Jack Walker, 27, drove his mother's Jeep to the hospital. They found a bloody shirt in the passenger seat.

After speaking with Walker, MNPD contacted the Polk County Sheriff's Office in North Carolina and asked them to check on Walker's mother, Cindy.

Officials with Polk County found Cindy Walker dead in her home with an apparent trauma.

Authorities in North Carolina swore out a homicide warrant against Jack Walker. He was charged in Nashville withe being a fugitive from justice, and is expected to return to North Carolina in the coming days, according to Metro Police.

Polk County Sheriff Donald Hill said the cause of death is pending an autopsy.

Investigators are still trying to find a motive.

Hill said he has requested that the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation take the lead in the investigation because he is leaving office in a few weeks and did not want the investigation to be slowed down during the transition.

Yeah, I remember walking into our regular bar back in the day and wondering who was the new chick with the long blonde hair. It was our friend, Trevor, lmao. He normally didn't sit at the bar, so I was caught unaware.

Those were the days of long hair, and I was totally jealous of guys who always seemed to have great hair effortlessly since I had always struggled with mine. Except for my friend's guy who got his permed and the chick burnt it, bahahahahaha! It's okay to laugh; he was a dipshit she eventually dumped. Good looking but he was dumb as a box of rocks.
 
Hey everyone, is there any update on Jack's charges? My older brothers were best friends with him in high school and for some time afterward as well. After high school, Jack really changed. He may have been schizophrenic, and I know his mom had mental issues as well. Is any of this being looked into? He really doesn't deserve to go to jail. He needs mental help more than anything.

Edit: Does anyone know who his lawyer is? My older brothers were hesitant to reach out to anyone about this, and I think we all assumed it would be obvious that Jack was not mentally stable, but I'd want to talk to someone about this.

Hey girl. I went to school with your brother and Jack. Truthfully this is the only place I have found any information on this case. I’ve tried to follow it and see if I can find anything for years. There isn’t much on the internet. This group has given the most information over the years. If you guys hear anything about the case tell your brothers to reach out to Leiah.
