Deceased Toddler Lonzie Barton Allegedly Disappeared After Car Was Stolen

Baker County Sheriff Joey Dobson said investigators have been surveilling Lonna Lauramore Barton and Chris Barton for nearly a month after receiving intelligence.

Undercover investigators purchased synthetic narcotics Tuesday night off of Chris Barton, Dobson said. They also purchased from Chris Barton twice on Wednesday. Chris Barton was arrested on Interstate 10.

Also, undercover investigators purchased synthetic narcotics from Lonna Lauramore Barton twice on Wednesday. She was arrested in a room at the American Inn.

The arrest comes hours after the Bartons appeared in court on a custody hearing for Lonzie's 5-year-old sister. The judge ordered the two to .undergo drug tests and mental examinations. -

Both Lonna and Chris Barton when asked by the judge about drug usage only hours before their arrest responded in the negative replying they did not use drugs.
I think it is a pretty good bet that the drug test the judge ordered for both immediately after the hearing came back dirty. Lonna is alleged to have made 2 drug sales from her motel room and Chris made 3 after being inside the courtroom today and those sales were made to undercover cops no less. Lonna wasn't doing her Happy Dance on her way to be booked back into the jail that she did when she was bonded out earlier this month.

I can't guarantee this but the normal basic drug test that are giving at court is a 5 panel test that means it only test for pot..amphetamine/meth and some opiates/benzos....its also a dip stick test so they test it right there at the same time.
If she smoked that synthetic crap it will not show and if the opiate she had was lortab than that would not show either...they would have had to given them a number of test to detect that And as long as her urine is not being sent to the lab than she also could have drank some urine cleanse to cover the drugs..jmo

She was arrested in a room at the Motel 6 on State Road 121 in Macclenny.A third person, Shawn Clayton Hall, was also arrested and charged with sale of synthetic narcotics within 1,000 feet of a specified area and possession of synthetic narcotics with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a specified area."They had been together in the hotel room," Dobson said. "Mr. Barton had left the hotel room with Mr. Hall. She (Lonna Lauramore Barton) was in the room ... by herself."Dobson said they were cooperative and didn't have anything much to say."Ms. Barton was a little bit surprised when we went in the door; didn't have a lot to say other than she didn't know why we were there," Dobson said.

Back to the story: Poor little one. I hate that vigilant, assessing look these poor abused babies always have on their faces as they look toward the camera held by the hands they should be able to trust and depend upon. I hope he rests easy now. Just for today, I will try to hope that this is not the end for him, and he will soon be reborn to parents who will cherish him.

Please let this be the piece that causes someone to speak out about what became of Haleigh Cummings. Her story has always bothered me. So many inconsistencies, so much backstabbing and mudslinging.. nothing is any clearer, and she is still dead somewhere.

This beautiful baby did not get the chance he deserved, and I'm waiting to hear exactly what happened, even though by now I think we could all recite it line by line. I need to know, from the mouths of Ruben and Lonna, what became of this boy. I need to hear them confess it or I can't fully hate them for it.

And everyone on the Cummings side, trying not to look at this train wreck.. confess. Do it now. It's almost been a decade and she hasn't been found. Do it now while you're still young enough to possibly survive what prison will do to you.
