Obama ethics chief says Biden neglected ‘basic security’ for docs

The former top ethics official in the Obama White House has accused President Biden of neglecting the “most basic security protocols” surrounding the handling of classified documents.

“It’s nothing like [former President Donald] Trump’s deliberate refusal to return classified records demanded by the National Archives, but Biden’s own retention of classified records reflects an inexcusable neglect of the most basic security protocols,” Walter Shaub told Fox News Digital Tuesday.

Shaub also praised Attorney General Merrick Garland for appointing a special counsel to investigate Biden over the discovery of sensitive papers at his Delaware home and at a think tank in Washington where he kept an office after serving as Barack Obama’s vice president for eight years.

A special counsel is also looking into the handling of a trove of classified documents found by the FBI at the 76-year-old Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Florida resort Aug. 8.

Ridiculous that the DOJ is letting Brandon’s own people look for more documents, they looking or shredding?
Double standard much
Dishonest as it gets, letting the crook and his loyal henchman look for incriminating evidence
Not that having the woke FBI there, would paint a better picture

Questions grow over DOJ’s ‘different treatment’ of Biden and Trump in classified docs probes

WASHINGTON – House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan blasted the Justice Department Wednesday after it reportedly allowed President Biden’s attorneys to search his Delaware homes for classified documents without FBI supervision — after not affording former President Donald Trump’s team the same opportunity during the raid on his Mar-a-Lago estate last August.

In an interview with Fox News, Jordan (R-Ohio) claimed whistleblowers had told him DOJ was doling out “different treatment under the law for different people, and that’s not supposed to be the way our justice system operates, and it’s not supposed to be operated on a political basis.”

The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday that instead of dispatching federal agents to conduct — or even monitor — the search of the 80-year-old president’s Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach residences, the DOJ asked Biden’s attorneys to notify them if they found any sensitive papers so law enforcement could take custody of them.

“The way they treated President Trump’s classified document issue and the way they’ve treated Joe Biden’s are entirely different,” Jordan told “The Story” host Martha MacCallum.

“They were offered a chance, DOJ was offered a chance, to accompany the lawyers. They said no,” he added. “But then when they finally did go, when they found these documents, when they finally did go get them, the White House counsel then goes with the Department of Justice officials.

By contrast, Trump’s attorneys were not allowed on Aug. 8 of last year to assist or even watch FBI agents go through the 45th president’s Palm Beach home and office, where more than 150 classified documents were stashed away.

George Mason University forensic science professor Steven Burmeister, a former FBI agent, told The Post the difference in the handling of the two cases “seems unusual” — particularly because the DOJ already knew Biden had previously kept secret and top secret documents in his former office at a Washington think tank.

“If you want to do equity across the board, then if you’re gonna do it in one case, you have to do it in another case,” Burmeister said. “If I’m in a legal case, I would pull out all the precedents that happened in the past – that’s the way you did it before, why are you now doing something different?”

Wasn’t a huge part of the issue the possibility of people without classified security clearance handling the files, suddenly all of Brandon’s friends have clearance,:finger::finger::finger::finger:, when one fuckyou isn’t enough

Manages his classified like Hunter handles his computer.

What does that say about how the 'Bidens' handle business?
We’ll never know since the FBI/DOJ refuse to investigate, democrats. The swamp doesn’t investigate itself, if it does it finds no wrong doing before the investigation

Let's face it. Biden has put everyone in the spotlight. Can't prosecute Trump without prosecuting Biden.

(From 2019...)

Barack Obama reportedly said: 'Don't underestimate Joe's ability to (expletive) things up'

Barack Obama reportedly spoke with a Democrat, expressing his private doubts about Joe Biden becoming the Democrat presidential nominee in 2020.

According to Politico, the former president said: "Don't underestimate Joe's ability to f... things up."

Mr. Obama was also said to have spoken about his own understanding of the 2020 Democrat electorate in Iowa.

"And you know who really doesn’t have it? Joe Biden," he reportedly said.

Apparently, there were lingering tensions between the two after Mr. Obama supported Hillary Clinton for the 2016 nomination, according to Yahoo.

Leon Panetta, Mr. Obama’s defense secretary, told Politico: "He [Mr Biden] was loyal, I think, to Obama in every way in terms of defending and standing by him, even probably when he disagreed with what Obama was doing.

"To some extent, [he] oftentimes felt that that loyalty was not being rewarded.”

Several of Mr Obama's aides were said to have believed that Mr. Biden took discussions in the wrong direction while vice president.

In his book Ben Rhodes, Obama’s former deputy national security adviser, penned, "in the Situation Room, Biden could be something of an unguided missile”.

Mr. Biden's aides were said to have believed his skills getting things achieved in Congress were under-appreciated.

Biden ripped for ‘moronic’ claim he has ‘no regrets’ about classified documents

Conservatives and Republicans skewered President Biden for saying on Thursday that he had “no regrets” about how he handled the classified documents scandal — which the White House kept hidden from the public for more than two months.

“I think you’re gonna find there’s nothing there,” the president told reporters in California, where he was surveying storm damage. “I have no regrets. I’m following what the lawyers have told me they want me to do. That’s exactly what we’re doing. There’s no there, there.”

The dismissive remarks caused an uproar, with George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley calling them “downright infuriating” and “remarkably moronic” due to the ongoing special counsel probe.

“As a criminal defense attorney, I would be mortified by a client publicly dismissing the seriousness of a potential crime while he is under investigation,” Turley wrote in an op-ed column for Fox News Digital. “For most defendants, it would constitute ‘bearding the lion’ and prosecutors would not take kindly to the approach.”

“This just in,” joked RedState columnist Buzz Patterson on Twitter, “China and Ukraine have ‘no regrets’ about their access to Biden’s documents either.”

Democratic Sens. Manchin, Kaine support investigation of Biden’s classified documents

A pair of influential Senate Democrats said they fully supported the ongoing investigation of President Biden after classified documents were uncovered at his personal residence in Delaware and the Penn Biden Center in Washington, DC.

“The reports about President Biden’s mishandling of classified documents are extremely irresponsible and disturbing. These allegations should be investigated fully,” Sen. Joe Manchin, (D-W.Va.), told Fox News Digital.

His sentiments were echoed by his colleague from Virginia, Sen. Tim Kaine.

“This news raises serious questions and the appointment of an unbiased special prosecutor to investigate the matter is the right step,” Kaine told the network.

If hes in violation of the law or oath of office he should face the consequences, just like his predecessors should. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW and we need to hold these people accountable at all levels

Does not appear like the Dems are lining up to support Joe.

There's a bus a comin'
because they don't worship him as a demigod like the cult of personality that's formed around Donald trump, which still baffles me what appeal he as to anyone, but hey that's life. They are public servants and need to be treated as such

There's more!!!!

Justice Department finds 6 more classified documents in search of Biden’s home

Federal investigators found more classified materials during a search of President Biden’s Delaware home — with some dating back to his years in the Senate, Biden’s lawyer announced Saturday.

Bob Bauer, Biden’s newly acquired personal lawyer, said the Justice Department took six documents marked classified and some of Biden’s notes during a Friday search that lasted 13 hours.

The department “took possession of materials it deemed within the scope of its inquiry, including six items consisting of documents with classification markings and surrounding materials, some of which were from the President’s service in the Senate and some of which were from his tenure as Vice President,” Bauer said in a statement.

The Politico article that your article quotes is very interesting also:

"... the misgivings the 44th president had about the would-be 46th, the deep hurt still felt among Biden’s allies over how Obama embraced Hillary Clinton as his successor..."

"Former FBI Director James Comey recalled in his book that “Obama would have a series of exchanges heading a conversation very clearly and crisply in Direction A. Then, at some point, Biden would jump in with, ‘Can I ask something, Mr. President?’”

Comey continued: “Obama would politely agree, but something in his expression suggested he knew full well that for the next five or 10 minutes we would all be heading in Direction Z. After listening and patiently waiting, President Obama would then bring the conversation back on course. "

" Biden’s own academic career was unimpressive—he repeated the third grade, earned all C ’ s and D ’ s in his first three semesters at the University of Delaware except for As in P.E., a B in “Great English Writers” and an F in ROTC, and graduated 76th in his Syracuse Law School class of 85 students. He’s the first Democratic nominee since Walter Mondale in 1984 not to have an Ivy League degree. .”

Unprepared for meetings?
An "F" in ROTC?

Oy.

Its Sunday and we're greeted with more articles about finding classified.
I'm guessing they had to reconcile it with all the current classified lying around.

House panel demands Biden visitor info for Delaware home after more classified docs found

WASHINGTON — House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has formally requested that Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle turn over details of visitors to President Biden’s Delaware home, where classified documents from his time as a senator and vice president were improperly stashed away.

“The US Secret Service protected President Biden during the time he stored these classified materials at his Wilmington residence,” Comer (R-Ky.) said in a Monday letter to Cheatle.

“Given the White House’s lack of transparency regarding President Biden’s residential visitor logs, the committee seeks information from the Secret Service regarding who had access to his home since serving as vice president,” the chairman added.

Beginning Dec. 20, the president’s attorneys and law enforcement officials have found multiple batches of sensitive papers at Biden’s home during several searches.

On Saturday, the White House announced that six documents marked classified had been removed from the residence the day before by investigators, along with some of Biden’s notes and “surrounding materials.”

WH won’t say if Biden OK with search of University of Delaware doc trove

WASHINGTON — The Biden administration kept silent Tuesday about whether the president would approve a search of his Senate records at the University of Delaware after even more classified documents were found Friday at his Wilmington home.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) called for the search Monday after the FBI’s Friday hunt through Biden’s home turned up sensitive items dating to his Senate years in addition to even more records from his vice presidency.

The Post asked Jean-Pierre at her regular briefing for a response for Cruz’s call to pore over the roughly 1,850 boxes of Biden’s Senate papers and 415 gigabytes of electronic files that Biden gifted in 2012 to his undergraduate alma mater.

“When it comes to the documents and this ongoing legal matter, I refer you to the White House counsel’s office,” Jean-Pierre replied.

The press secretary used variants of the same answer to deflect may other journalists’ questions about the documents controversy, including a question about whether the White House has any objection to sharing Secret Service records of Biden’s Wilmington visitors with the House Oversight Committee.

FBI searching Biden beach home for classified documents

WASHINGTON — FBI agents arrived Wednesday at President Biden’s Delaware vacation house to search for improperly stored classified documents.

The visit comes 12 days after authorities searched Biden’s other Delaware home — in Wilmington — and found mishandled sensitive records from his vice presidency and Senate years.

White House lawyer Richard Sauber said in a Jan. 12 statement that Biden’s team did its own search and that “[n]o documents were found in the Rehoboth Beach residence.”

However, Sauber also said no additional mishandled records were at the president’s Wilmington home — before the FBI on Jan. 20 found an unspecified number of additional materials.

National Archives blocked from revealing Biden classified docs find by WH or DOJ

The National Archives was blocked from informing the public about the initial discovery of classified documents at President Biden’s former DC think tank by either the White House or the Department of Justice, The Post has learned.

The shocking revelation, confirmed by a source familiar with the matter, has led to allegations of a double standard in how the National Archives and Records Administration and the Justice Department are prosecuting the investigations of Biden and of former President Donald Trump for allegedly mishandling America’s secrets.

Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) revealed on Tuesday that Archives general counsel Gary Stern, in a closed-door interview, said he could not tell lawmakers who had ordered the Archives to keep quiet and not put out a press release announcing the Nov. 2 find at the Penn Biden Center.

“There are only two people that could have given those orders, and that’s either the Department of Justice with [Attorney General] Merrick Garland or the White House with Joe Biden,” Comer told Fox News’ “Hannity.”

“So it shows right there that this Department of Justice and this White House is interfering with this,” he added.

WH won’t say if Biden OK with search of University of Delaware doc trove

Why does it even matter if he's okay with it, they certainly didn't care whether Trump was okay with it when they searched all his residences and etc. Not that I'm a big Trump fan, I'm not, but I do like everybody to be treated equally. And also, I hate a fucking hypocrite and the government is full of them.

Trump busted: Immediate photo of blacked out documents and Top-Secret folders released to the media beside of obvious "Trump as President" items. Reportedly keep in a locked room.

Biden busted: Press black out from FBI, DOJ, and National archives from discussing even the most basic details of anything. Reportedly safe because it was with his Corvette, with Hunter having access to the house, and he has "no regrets" about any of it.

Fair, sure.

Biden calls classified docs ‘stray papers,’ blames aides who packed up White House office

President Biden dismissed the classified documents found at his Delaware home and private office as simply “stray papers” that ended up on his property because of careless aides who packed up his White House office over a decade ago.

“The best of my knowledge, the kinds of things they picked up are things that are from 1974 and stray papers – there may be something else, I don’t know,” Biden told PBS News Hour host Judy Woodruff on Wednesday, attempting to contrast his mishandling of classified material to former President Donald Trump’s document scandal.

The 80-year-old president argued that unlike Trump, “no one has had to threaten to do anything” and that he didn’t have his vice presidential and senate documents “laid out” on the floor, with “top secret code word and all the rest” – a reference to the infamous FBI photograph of Trump’s classified White House papers splayed out on a carpeted floor inside his Mar-a-Lago estate.

During the brief interview clip, Biden went on to lay blame on the staffers tasked with packing up his office at the White House at the end of Barack Obama’s presidency for not “thoroughly” looking over “every single piece’ of paper in his office.

“One of the things that happened is that, what was not done well, is as they packed up my office’s to move them, they didn’t do the kind of job that should have been done to go thoroughly through every single piece of literature that’s there,” the president said.

Biden didn’t name specific aides who may have packed up the classified material that ended up at the Penn Biden Center think tank in Washington, DC, and his Wilmington, Delaware, home. But the House Oversight Committee last week sent a formal letter to a close former aide of Biden’s who may have had some involvement.

No word on what, if anything, has been found

FBI searched University of Delaware for classified Biden documents

The FBI has reportedly conducted searches at the University of Delaware on at least two occasions as part of the criminal investigation into President Biden’s apparent mishandling of classified documents.

The searches were conducted in “recent weeks,” according to CNN, with the consent and cooperation of the 80-year-old president’s lawyers.

Investigators searched two university locations on two different days and seized material that did not appear to have classified markings, according to the report. The materials are being reviewed by the FBI.

The two batches of documents investigators focused on were an archive of materials from Biden’s time in the Senate and documents that the president sent to the university in recent years, according to CNN.

The University of Delaware, the president’s alma mater, houses a vast collection of papers in its library from Biden’s 36 years serving in the Senate.

National Archives has not checked nine boxes of Biden docs for classified material

Nine boxes of documents found at President Biden’s former office at the Penn Biden Center think tank in Washington, DC, have not been reviewed for classified material by the National Archives, according to a report.

The boxes were shipped by Biden’s attorney Patrick Moore to his law office in Boston before the discovery of 10 classified documents at the 80-year-old president’s namesake think tank.

The National Archives revealed the quantity of boxes taken from Moore’s office, and the fact that they have not been reviewed, in response to questions contained in a February letter from Sens. Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.) and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), according to Fox News.

Acting Archivist of the US Debra Steidel Wall told the lawmakers, in a letter dated Tuesday, that the agency learned about the nine boxes on Nov. 3, 2022, a day after the initial set of classified documents were found by Biden’s lawyers at the DC-based think tank.

It's kind-of obvious at this point that various important institutions in USA have been counter-constitutionally politicized. Absolutely corrupt.

at this point, I think donald trump could fart in the direction of a classified document and they would be cuffing him, but in the minds of the corrupt ppl in power, it would be okay for Biden to take them home to his porno stash and sniff them and drool on them and show them to people at parties
