A Louisiana woman was arrested Monday in Navarre for allegedly beating her spouse with a bedpost after her wife accidentally placed marijuana in a washing machine.

Ashley Perkins, 30, was arrested by the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office and charged with aggravated battery causing bodily harm or disability.

According to an arrest report, the couple was visiting family in Navarre when an argument ensued over missing marijuana at about 7:45 a.m. Monday.

When deputies arrived a short time later, Perkins' wife told law enforcement the argument had escalated to such extent that Perkins had beat her about the head, legs and left arm with a bedpost, the report stated.

EMTs informed deputies that the woman's left arm may have been fractured during the attack, and she was transported to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center with head bruising and a lacerated left arm, the report stated.

Perkins agreed to speak with investigators and told deputies the argument began over missing marijuana, which her wife had accidentally washed in the washing machine, the report states.

At first, Perkins denied hitting her wife and explained to investigators that a bedpost had been on the bed during their argument, and she believed her wife had cut herself by rolling over the bedpost on her own volition, according to the report.

The report states Perkins later changed her story, and during her ride to jail, she told deputies her wife had picked up the bedpost and started beating herself with it.

She beat her because she's an abusive cunt.

Hopefully her wife doesn't take her back.

Edit
And unless she had pounds of weed hidden in the washing machine, it was probably $10-20 worth of weed.
Not even worth raising your voice for.

Yeah, right, she was so overcome with guilt that she indulged in self-flagellation with a bed post. Not only is this bitch mean and nasty (look at that snotty face), she's a pathetic liar.

What do you think more publicity would do, aside from create more animosity towards gay people?

Education can be enormously helpful. Encouraging folks to seek help, make resources available in the form of counseling and so on and so forth.

Especially beneficial to young people. People grow up hearing/knowing that men beat on women in traditional relationships. Increasingly so people are being taught and it's being brought into the public eye that female on male domestic violence is a huge problem. But people entering into homosexual relationships dont hear much, if anything, regarding their segment of the population. Not good.

Ah okay, sorry it's just hard to keep track of which groups of people you're prejudiced against, which also makes it hard to figure out what the hell point you're trying to make

For future reference, if you wish to avoid appearing to be a reactive SJW douche, consider the statement that you want to make, replace 'men' with 'women', 'white' with 'black', 'straight' with 'gay' and 'cis' with 'trans', or visa-versa.

Then ask yourself - "Does this sound intelligent to me?".

Example -
"What do you think more publicity would do, aside from create more animosity towards gay people?"
becomes
"What do you think more publicity would do, aside from create more animosity towards straight people?"

If you said that about advocating awareness of hetero domestic violence, you'd look like an idiot wouldn't you?

This has been a public service announcement brought to you by the DreaminDeamon, paid for and endorsed by 'CentreAussie'.

That makes no sense. There isn't any kind of prevailing animosity towards straight people, so the comparison is irrelevant. Jack was specifically talking about domestic violence among gay people, so I responded specifically to that.

Also, I don't really care if anyone thinks I'm a "social justice warrior" :p

Your implication is that I shouldn't say there is any kind of prevailing bias against any groups of people in society. That would be patently untrue.

I could easily see statistics about abuse in gay relationships being used as ammunition by anti-gay crusaders to make blanket statements that homosexuality is wrong and harmful. Couldn't you? And I wondered if that was what Jack was getting at. I don't mean to imply that people shouldn't be aware of domestic abuse in any form. They should.

Ok, maybe I went a little overboard. I was just having fun.

But statistics on their own, are just statistics. Facts by definition can't be biased and shouldn't be hidden ever because doing so prevents honest discussion of real issues and that means that solutions can never be found. Anyone who thinks otherwise prefers feels over facts and is an SJW, who is in their own special way damaging society.

Who are these anti-gay crusaders, anyway? The Westboro Baptist Church? Muslims? I think genuine anti-gay sentiment is pretty rare these days.

NB: Nearly all of the groups are "Christian", with the exception of various neo-Nazi attacks, and there are no organized "Muslim" anti-LGBTQ hate groups listed as active in the USA.

This search took less than 1 minute.

First of all, SPLC? The same group that lost a defamation lawsuit to a Muslim man who spoke out against Islamic extremism to the tune of 6 million dollars? You might as well quote 'The Daily Stormer'. After all, they are equally biased.

No one is saying that hate against LGBTQ people doesn't exist.

I'm saying that hate against LGBTQ people is like white supremacy. Extremely rare, shunned by everyone and in no way accepted by the vast, vast majority of people regardless of their political leanings. Name one right-wing person who endorses violence against LGBTQ people. Then name all of the left-wing people who advocate violence against those who disagree with them. Seriously, be honest. Try it.

And although the Muslims might not have any organized hate groups against the LGBTQs, they are in fact an organised hate group. Which ideology rules every country on Earth where homosexuality is a death penalty offence? And which ideology is shutting down schools in the UK because these schools teach acceptance of gay people. It ain't the Christians.

Hate Christians all you want. It won't change that fact that most perpetrators of anti-semetic and anti-LGBTQ hate crimes worship a paedophile.

Good points, Centre Aussie. And I will bring up the fake hate crimes that have been committed by the supposed victims (the highest profile case being Jussie Smollet). I believe this happens far more than most people realize. The biggest cause is the media that hypes the initial "hate crime" to push their agenda (with an additional benefit of more revenue). They subsequently don't hype the follow up news when the crime turns out to be perpetrated by the "victim(s)".

And SPLC has also done this on a wide scale. I am linking several fake hate crimes that SPLC pushed and then had to retract. Sometimes it was a year or more after a case was determined to be a fake hate crime by LEO, DA, or other government entity, and only retracted (normally in foot notes to the original hate designation) because the SPLC was busted by journalists looking into this trend. In other instances, SPLC reported the "hate crime" weeks after the incidents were found to be bogus.

Take EVERYTHING the SPLC (or any news outlet, group, or individual) reports with a grain of salt until the incidents have been determined to be legitimate. I'm so glad the SPLC is imploding. But I'm sure new propaganda groups will step up to take their place.
