West Virginia Man Sexually Assaulted His Daughter, Which Resulted In Birth Of 3 Children

Forty-three-year-old Kenneth Ray Cook was jailed on allegations that he had a nonconsensual and incestuous relationship with his daughter, which resulted in the birth of three children.

Law enforcement officials say the three children were found to be suffering from neglect.

According to the indictment filed with the West Virginia Circuit Court, Cook’s criminal charges include 149 counts of gross neglect of a child, three counts of incest and multiple counts of sexual abuse or assault by a parent.

Investigators allege that between 2019 and March 2024, Cook engaged in a non-consensual sexual relationship with his biological daughter, which led to the birth of three children, currently aged 5, 3, and 1.

The complaint states that the daughter is now 21 years old, meaning that the first child was conceived when she was under the age of 16, and Cook was 38 years old at the time.

Throughout this period, Cook and Thomas were residing together in the same household.

Authorities launched an investigation following a referral from Child Protective Services (CPS) regarding concerns of abuse and neglect involving the youngest child, who, at one year old, weighed only six pounds.

Medical personnel at Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) determined that the 1-year-old was severely malnourished and exhibited signs of medical neglect, as his health had continued to deteriorate without proper intervention.

Further concerns were raised when the attending physician noted physical characteristics commonly associated with an incestuous relationship.

This prompted genetic testing, which was conducted on all three children and later sent to the Mayo Clinic for analysis.

The test results confirmed that the children’s parents shared a first-generational biological relationship, indicating that their parents were either a parent and child or full-blooded siblings.

SIX POUNDS?!?!? My former bestie had one of those babies that are naturally so light that when you picked her up that your arms would be up over your head before you could get her on your hip. I called her the "air baby". It was as if her bones were hollow. Even Joony (her nickname) weighed 19 lbs at one year. What must that poor bitty have looked like?

6 lbs!!! Surely that's a typo for 16. I looked at the picture and he's bigger than 6 lbs, but still small and sickly looking and very very dirty.

My older son was small, but healthy, he weighed 19 lbs at 1 year and was called at one time, "failure to thrive", but he was fed regularly and definitely not sick. A 6 lb one year old wouldn't be able to be alive, I would think.

I doubt this is the way the baby looked by the time he got to the hospital. It is the image the daddy/granddaddy posted.

Her FB is heart breaking. She began reporting her abuse at 9 years old and her grandmother had connections with CPS and had the stuff covered up. She was threatened with death multiple times. She mentioned the last baby was very ill at birth and came home from the NICU with no follow up care as the Monster was worried his nasty secrets would leak. She was isolated and controlled from childhood and multiple adults in her life either didn't believe the abuse or enabled it. I can't imagine how she is going to heal from this.
