A video of an Idaho woman boxing her dog sparked outrage on social media — and she could now face animal cruelty charges.

The horrifying Snapchat clip showed a woman in workout gear and boxing gloves repeatedly punching a German shepherd in the face.

“We’re boxing animals. Where’s Sarah McLachlan?,” someone in the background says, referring to the singer and well-known animal-rights activist, whose songs have been featured in ads for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

The dog yelps as the woman lands a hard punch and says: “I hit him so hard I felt that through…,” before the 13-second clip ends abruptly.

The footage was shared widely on other social media platforms, with many viewers decrying it as animal abuse.

The Idaho Humane Society said Monday that it had received an “overwhelming” number of calls and emails about the clip and was launching a probe.

The shelter’s Animal Care and Control division has contacted the woman, who is from Eagle, but hasn’t been publicly identified, according to the Idaho Statesman.

“The investigation is currently pending review at the local prosecutor’s office for a charging decision,” Idaho Humane Society spokeswoman Kristine Schellhaas said.

The Ada County Prosecutor’s Office could charge the woman under a local law that addresses “beating and harassing animals.”

A woman from Idaho named London Miner is currently being investigated after she posted a video on Snapchat of her punching her dog while wearing boxing gloves. The controversial video went viral on May 4, with many viewers calling it animal abuse.

According to the Idaho Humane Society, the organization that launched the investigation, its “Animal Care and Control office [received] an overwhelming number of phone calls and emails” after the video became viral. Miner was interviewed by a Humane Officer who works for the organization, and the investigation is currently pending review by the prosecutor’s office, according to the society.

Here’s what you need to know about London Miner:

Warning: the video may be disturbing to some viewers.

Miner posted the video of her punching the male German Shepherd — she punched her dog 10 times in the head.

At the start of the clip, an individual in the background said, “We’re boxing animals. Where’s Sarah McLachlan?” McLachlan, a Canadian singer-songwriter, is a famous animal rights activist, and she has been a part of many end-animal-cruelty commercials.

At the end of the video, Miner landed a punch to the dog, making him yelp. She said, “I hit him so hard I felt that through …” The video then ended abruptly.

The video went viral on social media on May 4, prompting the Idaho Humane Society to launch an investigation.

The Woman Defended Her Actions in the Video, Saying That Her Dog ‘Never Got Hurt’
According to a report from Too Fab, the woman defended her actions in the video. She said, “He plays hard. A girl gunna hit him a little bit and you guys wanna press some girl hitting him with gloves.”She also said that her dog “never got hurt and was playing the entire time. I’d never let my dog get hurt.”The woman continued, “I do what I do with my dog. He thinks it’s a game was he hurt at all in the video or at all? He’s literally laying with me in bed.”

The dog undeniably looks to be playing.

It does raise questions about the shitheads judgment to be instigating such rough play with a dog, but it does not appear to be in pain or to be the least bit stressed or troubled by the womans actions. Bleeding heart idiots are going to wig the fuck out though and give it all sorts of undue attention.

Still a very poor, idiotic idea to play so rough with a dog, especially one as potentially dangerous as a kraut shepphard, but it appears to be play nonetheless.

What a fucking idiot. That's exactly how to teach a dog to bite human hands, or maybe human faces.

She was clearly "playing" for her own fun, not the dog's, and she was doing damage to the dog by conditioning it to bite at people in response to movements near its face. Dogs that bite for this reason tend to end up euthanized.

This idiot is showing complete disregard for the dog's future and for the safety of any people the dog may come into contact with.

You know, children's faces are right at the same height as this dog's mouth. Way to go, stupid bitch!

I hope they are able to charge her and not allow her to own animals. She is the face of irresponsibility. And yes it could be considered animal abuse and I hope the prosecutor (and eventual judge, hopefully) leans toward that opinion.

No the dog is not playing.
What is happening is she is turning the dog into an aggressive wreck.

This case has advanced a little bit. The Idaho Humane Society has forwarded the results of their investigation to the Boise City Prosecutor’s Office for a prosecution decision.

Idaho Humane Society says that the Boise City Prosecutor’s Office could charge the woman under Idaho statute 25-3518, which addresses “beating and harassing animals.” The misdemeanor charge carries a maximum sentence of up to six months and prison and as much as $5,000 in fines.

Somewhat related:

There is a chilling link on this page from February 24, 2020. "Idaho man’s 4 horses died of thirst. He’ll serve 4 days in jail for animal cruelty".

Ivan “Shannon” Pearce II, of New Plymouth, is the perp. Link says "Pearce must serve one day in jail for each count and five days of inmate labor detail in lieu of 29 days of jail time".

Judge named Robert Jackson basically tore down what would have in theory been 180 days prison time x 4 to the nearly nothing you see above. And he can get the crime completely removed from his record later if he wants.

So it remains to be seen how much of a shit Idaho's judicial system will give about a stupid bitch punching her dog in the face.

I'd be interested to know who the "other party" described in the horse story was, and wonder why that person didn't see charges too (someone's kid?).

may he never have water / liquid himself ..... and just dies ;)

this some crazy backwards sentencing ... months compared to days
... maybe tis true, its not who ya know but who ya blow? or erm maybe the reported complaints from the masses made difference on sentencing Only, the Shadow knows

PS Blizz, Thanks for the update

It’s just so horribly cruel that a horse would die of thirst! Those horses were miserable! Thier lives weren’t worth very much! I don’t agree with the sentence, just a minor thing for him, but 4 horses lost their lives!
