Isn't that what TV is for? How hard is it to find some stupid show that will makes young kids shut up and get out of your hair for a bit?
I don't know how our mother's coped fifty years ago when there was no such thing as 24/7 toon Channels. Just kidding they coped by parenting and maturity levels that went beyond four.

But why couldn't she even be like "Fine, stay there and scream." and just left the door open so it wouldn't get hot?
Because she used the car as a babysitter. I don't think the daughter refused to get out. If thst was true, why was the 16 month left in the car?

She wanted to get high and lay down. So she did and now both children are dead.

Seriously. Reasoning with children that age isn't necessary at every step of the day--sometimes you have to pick them up even when they are screaming that they don't wanna go.

Actually you CANNOT reason with children that age. They don't have the critical thinking skills. They don't get them until they're a few years older than these babies were. And even then, you can't really reason with them.

You can totally reason with a two year old ... kids are smart ... They might not be overly corridnated, or strong ... but their brains work.

The deaths of two Texan children left in a hot car while her mother smoked pot and took a nap has been ruled as homicide by a coroner.

Two-year-old Juliet and 16-month-old Cavanagh were found dead in a car on May 26 this year.

Their mother, 25-year-old Cynthia Marie Randolph, initially claimed the children had locked themselves in her car while she was folding laundry.

On June 23 she was charged with two counts of first-degree injury to a child causing serious bodily injury.

On Sunday a medical examiner ruled the young children's deaths as homicides, revealing they had died of heatstroke on a warm day in Weatherford, Texas.

Police said Randolph had decided to punish the children for not getting out of the car when called.

She left locked them inside the car then allegedly went into her house to smoke marijuana and take a nap.

When she woke up several hours later, she realised the children were still inside the car.

She later claimed that she thought her eldest child would be able to let herself out of the car when she was ready.

Randolph changed her story several times before police concluded she had left her children locked in the car on purpose to "teach them a lesson."

Coroner's verdict: Homicide

The unfortunate thing about this bitch is she's going to be in jail in a jail cell in a comfortable environment. It won't get too hot and it won't get to cold for her
I wish in these types of cases that when they lock them up they crank up the heat every day making it unbearable for them to live for the rest of the sentence
Murderous bitch

A Parker County mother was sentenced to 20 years in prison for purposely leaving her two young children in a hot car.
[....]
According to police documents, Randolph confessed to special investigators that she found her children playing inside her car and order them out. When the 2-year-old refused to get out of the car, she shut the car door to teach her daughter a "lesson," thinking "she could get herself and her brother out of the car when ready."

She then told investigators she went into her home, smoked marijuana and went to sleep for two to three hours. She later broke the car window to make it look like an accident, the police documents state.

Randolph was found guilty on two counts of reckless injury to a child.

20 years doesn't seem like a terrible sentence, considering she murdered 2 children, but at least she'll be away for long enough that she (more than likely) won't be able to reproduce by the time she gets out.

Just the worlds luck she will probably be as fertile as the day she went in.
