today-i-signed-executive-order-104197321_c87015.jpg

President Donald Trump said on Sunday he would sign an executive order to cut prescription prices to the level paid by other high-income countries, an amount he put at 30% to 80% less.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he would sign the executive order on Monday morning to pursue what is known as “most favored nation” pricing or international reference pricing.

The US pays the most in the world for many prescription drugs, often nearly triple that of other developed nations. Trump has said he wants to close that spread, but has not publicly specified how and did not provide details in his post.

“They will rise throughout the World in order to equalize and, for the first time in many years, bring FAIRNESS TO AMERICA!” he said.

Hell yes! Now if he can only sign an order to get rid of the junkies I can get proper pain medication.
It's insane! I can take a low dose of hydrocodone and I'm FUNCTIONAL! The pain eases, I'm not loopy, I can do normal things. I have chronic pain. I can't get pain meds to be functional. Instead, my doc recommended getting THC gummies off the internet. I'm NOT functional - I'm buzzed! And I have to be capable of tending my special needs adult. I can't be impaired. So I just have to deal with it.

I don't know if it would help but CBD oil does relieve a little pain for certain people but I'm not one of them unfortunately. But yeah that kind of situation is infuriating.

Every night I drink a can of CBD sparkling water. It doesn't make me goofy. It just relaxes me enough to fall asleep. I take THC gummies for my pain. But I should be taking Vicodin. That's what I took before the druggies ruined it for injured people. My CBD drink is called Daytrip. I like the lemon-lime and the pink grapefruit. That's the one I'm drinking right now.

If any of yours pain is nerve related try lions mane tincature.... It can help a lot, I do one dropper in the morning in my tea, and then 1 dropper full at night... I got mine on Amazon. I tried it on recomendation from a friend... (It can interfere with blood thinning meds)

From the webz:

Potential Benefits:
  • Cognitive Function:
Lion's mane may stimulate nerve growth factor (NGF), which is involved in brain cell development and function, potentially improving memory, focus, and overall cognitive performance.
  • Mood and Anxiety:
Some studies suggest that lion's mane may help with symptoms of depression and anxiety.

  • Digestive Health:
Lion's mane may help protect against stomach ulcers and support a healthy gut environment by promoting the growth of beneficial gut bacteria.

  • Nerve Health:
It may stimulate nerve growth factor (NGF), which can be beneficial for nerve repair and regeneration, potentially aiding in the recovery from nerve damage.

  • Immune Function:
Lion's mane contains compounds like beta-glucans that may help boost immune cell activity and support the body's defenses.

  • Heart Health:
Some research suggests that lion's mane may help reduce cholesterol levels and lower the risk of cardiovascular disease by enhancing fat metabolism and preventing cholesterol oxidation.

  • Other Potential Benefits:
Lion's mane has also been studied for its potential role in managing diabetes symptoms, reducing inflammation, and preventing cancer, though more research is needed in these areas.

What kind of chronic pain do you have @BuffettGirl? With me, it’s my back.

First it was just my back, and now, since the tendon/ligament injury (I can never get right which one it is, it's dead center, in the crease of my buttock and thigh on my right leg) that one hurts all the time now too, at least since 03/04/2023 when I did it that is. I have a serious B12 deficiency (juvenile pernicious anemia), I don't absorb or store it, and you need B12 to produce myelin, which protects your nerve endings. I kinda rock like that... :banghead:

ETA: fixed another typo.

I'm lucky not to have to deal with chronic pain, but even for routine surgery they're getting ridiculous. The last time my wife had abdominal surgery they gave her... Maybe 36 hours' worth of pain medication when they used to give 3-4 days' worth.
Yeah, when I had brain surgery in 2021 I got about 36 hours of pain meds and my neurosurgeon’s staff had an absolute fit when I asked for a refill.

This is the one I use.... @BuffettGirl it may be worth a shot for you to try...

It took like a week of taking it twice a day... I have a pinched nerve or something in my left shoulder... it was making my arm go numb for days on end to the point where I wanted to cry.. was going to chiro/getting massages, both would only give me reliefe for a few days or so... A friend who broke her neck tole me about it.. I havent had any real pain since I started taking it.... Then I found a guy on tic tok live sin appalachia and grew up forging etc. he was shot in the face and had a ton of nerve damage making it to the point he was in constant pain etc, lions mane is one of the main thing he takes that helped with his nerve damage etc...

Thanks! When I get paid next, I'll give it a try and let you know!

@BuffettGirl @VLGRDSPLY

I take a glucosamine/chondroitin supplement twice a day for the chronic arthritis pain in my neck. It took a few weeks to kick in, but the pain is GONE! ETA: it doesn’t help at all with my back. I think it just helps with joint issues.

Just putting this out there in case anyone has arthritis or joint problems.
I just have super clumsy, naturally graceless issues... :shame:

oooh I have a friend with HORRIBLE arthritis.. I wonder if she has heard of this or tried it... if it is raining she literally can't move! Thank you for this!

Dang, come to think of it, Mom's getting creaky and irritable in the rain too. But come on, I DO live in Oregon. Rain is a real thing here, I just thought she was getting older (like I'm a spring chicken?) and crabbier! I'll tell her to get some on her next pharmacy run! Thanks @Crazy Cat Lady!

It totally helped the “significant arthritis” in my neck, but as I said, it does take a few weeks to kick in.

I found out about it from a friend who was ejected from a car in a horrible accident when she was 17 and broke her pelvis. She’s been taking the supplement ever since.

I would suggest that she ask her doctor about it in case she’s taking other meds. I checked with my doctor first and he said it’s an excellent option. I was in PT first and also went to a chiropractor but nothing ever helped until this.

I will DM you my cell number in case your friend has any questions.

If she has any questions, please tell her to call me. Rain is a thing here in NJ too. It’s supposed to rain for the next three days!

I swear by the stuff. I have absolutely no neck pain anymore!

Unlike her clumsy daughter, Mom was once a prima ballerina. But when she was about 50, she fell while roller skating with her SO and shattered both wrists. They're beginning to hurt enough to make her cry when it rains. I'll be ordering some of this when I get paid on Friday! :D

As I said, it will take a few weeks to kick in, but it’s helped me so much. This is what I take. It’s cheaper at Walmart.
