Dang! The verdict is in, and it is certainly going to affect the election. I'm not sure how much of the response will be in favor of him, and how much response won't. How is this going to affect the thoughts of undecided voters? Trump's existence in the public sphere has been unprecedented for years, and these guilty counts further such lack of precedence.

I, personally, don't have a strong opinion on the trial and its outcome, but a former president has never been through anything like this. It is good for criminals to be held accountable for their actions, obviously, but here it is more complex, and there is more political gravity attached to the trial.

Unless something radically changes, 2024 is going to be a man convicted on multiple felonies going against a man more fit for a nursing home... with RFK Jr. as a notable wildcard element. The optics are especially not good going into this election.
 
I don't think this is going to have much if any impact on the election. Trump's supporters already believe what they believe, and will see the guilty verdict as meritless. As polarizing as he is, I doubt there were too many on the fence that will now be swayed away.

It is an absolute fucking shame that the best we can do is run a convicted felon against a bumbling geriatric.

For whatever else people feel about Barack Obama, at least he APPEARED presidential. The optics were so much better. He had polish and wit that we haven't seen in the White House for YEARS now, and that's what the country needs in a figurehead.

It strikes me that the younger generation hasn't ever had a President that behaved so... presidentially. They don't even know what they're missing, so what are the chances they'll fight to restore it?

Every day we creep closer to living in the movie Idiocracy, and it'd be funny if it weren't so goddamned tragic.

They're avoidable if you stick to bookstores and universities, establishments that don't serve booze and places like Nickerson Gardens or Pico Rivera.
 
Last night Trump had so many donations pouring in it shut down the website... couldnt keep up. His poll numbers have jumped. Notice there are no riots in the streets, nothing being burned etc.. that is because the Rep. are the side of peace.. If he had been found not guilty you can bet your bottom dollar there would be riots right now... This will only make the right stronger!

There is a Trump rally in NH this Sunday, it has been planned for over a month. These rallies are not even to see Trump, just like minded people that get together to support him.

Here is a link to the one they held last Sept. It stretched over 8 miles... Can't wait to see how many people show up to this one!

Never forget that Alvin Bragg lowered 60% of all felonies to misdemeanors in his jurisdiction last year. 60% of all people arrested for felonies got their charges lowered by Alvin. But for Donald Trump, he elevated a misdemeanor to felony by claiming he committed a second crime that doesn't exist. If you stabbed somebody on the street in Manhattan, you were more likely to get off with a misdemeanor from Alvin Bragg than Donald Trump.
