Trent Ramsey Forced 3YO Boy Into Scalding Hot Shower ‘To Teach Him A Lesson’

McDonald County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Trent Ramsey, 30, after they say he forced the toddler to stay in a scalding hot shower until the 3-year-old could figure out how to turn off the water. According to court records, Ramsey said the water temperature was between 130 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit.

Deputies say the boy has third-degree burns on about 40% of his body. The abuse reportedly happened on April 24 at Ramsey’s home in Lanagan, Missouri.

Court records say the toddler was taken to the hospital hours after the incident. They say Ramsey told them he did it to “teach him a lesson.”

I think dad is just trying to justify why the child got burned.

I don't think the child would have the height or strength to reach the handles to turn off the water.

or the awareness needed to judge the temp of the water heck until they can read their alphabet how can they tell a H from a C or remember that the red dot means really hot etc... that is one of the thinks you don't want your child to do till they are old enough ... it is one of the reasons that you actually stay in the bathroom and supervise while they are in the tub or shower...
